And why have I just been told that I do not have the right to read this page or post on it and then immediately had my post accepted?

Would you accept a few Nieuwpoorts?
Even the odd Nieuport.

We've just today flown home from our first holiday of 2018, a Caribbean cruise.
We've just had the most fun time and made lovely new friends.

Nothing else booked yet but we will be going to Spain at some point, plus a few long weekend breaks, possibly Wales or Lake District.
Other holidays tend to be booked last minute.

Some photos below of our holiday.

For us its a week in the Vendee in a place similar to Eurocamp (just cheaper). Going bank holiday weekend in August and in a change to usual we've driving down via Portsmouth and Cherbourg.

Really looking forward to it. We did a week in a similar place in 2015 in Brittany (flying and hiring a car) and loved it.

We're just so tight that we spend nothing when we're home. Then I make OH go away with what's saved.. I think he'd be happy not to.

Don't know where we are going to end up this year yet . Going to be spending a few short breaks away throughout the year in Worcester and other parts of the UK. .
Planning somewhere abroad with son and his girlfriend in the summer. The hotel we have been to the last few times and would have liked to take them, on Costa Del Sol, is having a refurb and the builders might still be in so that's out.

They like visiting places of interest , so could end up somewhere completely different to our norm .....

Well i'm glad i'm not the only one not reeling off the multiple holiday destinations expected in '18.

We're just so tight that we spend nothing when we're home. Then I make OH go away with what's saved.

I totally agree with you @Lucy

I shop at Aldi, buy toiletries from the pound shop and home bargains, never waste food, don't continually shop for stuff that I don't need. I drive a small car.

But I love my holidays and that's what we like to spend money on.

@Withnail each to their own but I'd go mad if I only had one holiday a year.

I know that some people don't have the wherewithal to have multiple holidays (or even one holiday) and I totally sympathise with their predicament.

Even a day out is better than nothing though.
