I was a little concerned when I heard her over the comm's asking the pilot to ditch me in the bay.And did you notice that she'd doubled the life insurance but just for this morning?
Been peaking at 33 here, although the peak lasts half the day. I thought being further north it'd be colder! The last couple of days have been spent indoors during much of daylight hours. Temp is currently 35c in the shade and forecast to remain that way for at least the next 4 days. Though these temperatures are by no means unusual here, they just sap all my energy.
Is that sort of temp unusual there?Been peaking at 33 here, although the peak lasts half the day. I thought being further north it'd be colder!
The Sun may be at a lower angle, but it's up for longer. There can be bizarre summer temperatures in Siberia, further from the mitigating effect of the sea.Been peaking at 33 here, although the peak lasts half the day. I thought being further north it'd be colder!

Similar here, it does knock me about a bit. We wouldn't normally hit Turkey at this time of the year so only ourselves to blame really. The last couple of days have been spent indoors during much of daylight hours. Averages are allegedly 21° / 10° for June, with odd days much higher. I believe it's been a record month although not the hottest ever day. Probably get about another hour or 2 daylightIs that sort of temp unusual there?
Looks fabulous.... I'm making the carer watch re-runs of the series 'vera' in the hope he will agree to us moving back to my birthplace....I think living in Scotland has seriously adjusted my internal temperature gauge - it was 21 degrees here the other day and I found it unbearably hot!
This was my recent holiday up to the Highlands!

Having just returned all I can say is 'do it'. I still have no idea why anyone would choose to live in Stafford if other options are available.Looks fabulous.... I'm making the carer watch re-runs of the series 'vera' in the hope he will agree to us moving back to my birthplace....
Slowly, but surely, he's coming round to my way of thinking......
If money & family were no object, then I would have gone long ago..... As much as I love Stafford my home calls me back.Having just returned all I can say is 'do it'. I still have no idea why anyone would choose to live in Stafford if other options are available.
I've lived here all my life for 66 years, Stafford born & bred and always loved it. Hubby moved here 40+ yrs ago when we got married , as he also liked it here.Having just returned all I can say is 'do it'. This will be me. As soon as daughter is settled I'll be off.....!I've lived here all my life for 66 years, Stafford born & bred and always loved it. Hubby moved here 40+ yrs ago when we got married , as he also liked it here.
BUT.... as well as us wanting to move closer to son ( and no family left up here now) , feel now is the right time to finally leave Stafford as it just isn't the same as it used to be.
If all goes well , we shall soon be living where we have been enjoying so many short breaks.
Watch this space....
How long have you lived here?Having just returned all I can say is 'do it'. I still have no idea why anyone would choose to live in Stafford if other options are available.
