Hopefully this will wake people up as to thinking about what they are eating. We eat very little processed food in our house and once while making beef burgers i had 5 girls aged between 18 and 21 in the house who were friends of my sons. They were first amazed that we made our own beef burgers and then they asked what was in them, I said onion, mixed herbs, garlic, chili if we wanted to spice them up, egg to bind them together and salt and pepper....What meat do you use? one of them asked......I said well they are beef burgers...blank expressions...the clue is in the name...not one of them knew beef burgers were made of beef . Scary

but if any of this encourages people to make their own and cook from fresh when ever possible then all the better. I want to know what I am eating and where it has come from
