I've never in my life seen all of a James Bond film.

Maybe you fell akip and couldn't be woken up.... 'shaken but not stirred'.....

I understand the order is the reverse in the books. I'm sure that I'll be corrected, should I be mistaken. 'Stirred, but not shaken' seems a better line to me.

Bond twisted two of them and let them sink to the bottom of his drink, He picked up his glass and looked at the girl over the rim. "we haven't drunk to the success of a mission" he said......

I believe it is an allegory to the end of a theatrical performance. It certainly pre-dates the popular use of cremation in this country.
