Don't be too sure:
Those 3 storey houses on Silkmore were built on the site of the old South End Club. It was regularly closed as flooded out ( my mate used to run it).The older ones seem OK. Didn't get chance to look at the new ones that flooded a while back that the builder had to buy back or whatever.
We live on a flood plain. Anyone who buys a house on it needs their head testing imo!
And global warming, higher sea temperature means more evaporation which means more rain and it can only get worse.Only since idiots allowed building on the flood plains.
I am reliably informed by people on facebook that global warming isn't real. Or birds for that matter. Maybe when the ice melts the excess water will just fall off the side of the flat earth? And global warming, higher sea temperature means more evaporation which means more rain and it can only get worse.
Well yeah, lockdown was just a ploy so they could charge all the birds.I am reliably informed by people on facebook that global warming isn't real. Or birds for that matter. Maybe when the ice melts the excess water will just fall off the side of the flat earth?
Have seen multiple stranded BMWs, only 2 minis. Audis generally tend to just drive through as well so surprised they aren't on the list.According to GDB Rescue and Recovery, the top three makes that they drag out of floods are:-
1, MINI.
2, BMW.
3, Mercedes.
And they do have a fair database to extract that rating from by now.
I wonder if VW will strengthen their absence from the top three by reintroducing the Schwimmwagen?
... and how (over-)confident the drivers are...All depends on where the air intakes are...

Certainly wouldn't leave a car with FJ Tyres either if it is forecast to rain. Doesn't seem like the best place to open a business.
Yes, on the right where the 3 storey houses areIs that where the south end club was
What can the landlord do though?Weston Road near the Cop Shop isn’t looking too hot either.
I wonder at what point Aldi and co start really bollocking their landlord about Kingsmead though?
Well yeah, lockdown was just a ploy so they could charge all the birds.
They mostly think that because they’re diesels they won’t get wet ignition electrics so they can get through anything. They’re possibly right until it hydraulic locks. They’ll be in for a shock when the boss gets the repair bill ( most likely a write off)... and how (over-)confident the drivers are...
When it was built it was lauded for the work the developer did to minimise flooding....What can the landlord do though?
Sandon Road has been looking rather like a cut, a very short one.Anyone know the state of the lake now? I could do with using Sandon Rd as a short cut tomorrow.
I would suggest considering an alternative.Anyone know the state of the lake now? I could do with using Sandon Rd as a short cut tomorrow.
Found it...When it was built it was lauded for the work the developer did to minimise flooding....

Strange the link doesn't work anymore....
