And now the Doxey Road car park is completely underwater. I am so glad I went to Sainsburys earlier. The blokes digging up Chell Road won't even be able get to their machinary, unless they use snorkles!

We had to pop to B&M for something this evening, expected the usual lake Kingsmead on one side but we were shocked at how far it was encroaching on the rest of the car park.

Big flood at the start of Queenway coming from Asda to North end, taken lane one out on the bend which is causing a bit of an accident waiting to happen as people try to get in to lane 2 whether a car is already there or not

Silkmore Lane, was deep when i made it through at 6am. Wouldn't attempt it now, turned round and took the sensible way!

How's the rugby club fairing...

I noticed high water adjacent to the nursery near the Asda.
But somehow no flood by Tescos on the Newport Road.

Who the hell gave planning permission for houses there? One look at the geography tells you they will flood.
Looks like the houses have actually been raised to try and avoid the houses from flooding. Gardens, vehicles and roads are screwed though.

Can't imagine Aldi/Kingsmead is going to drain much anytime soon either. Numerous cars also stuck on North Walls behind the old College building.

These flooded roads explain why the traffic was bad on Radford Bank/A34 earlier. When the details of the development of that site for Morrisons was first announced it seemed like a very bad idea given the land the car park extension was built on.

The big pond on Silkmoor Lane was part of the cause but the overnight roadworks at the top of Radford Bank leaving a lane closed off all day certainly contributed.
