Local Elections 2019

I’ve just found out that the elections in our area are no longer taking place due to only 2 candidates standing (both conservative), therefore they are uncontested.
Len Bates and Isobel Ford.

Same for the Parish Council too.

As a part of my thesis I have been studying the work of Stanislaw Ulam and the Monte Carlo Method

Using this method I have discovered that the Conservatives will NOT do as badly as the media and politicians predict

You may use my research to place bets but I take no responsibility for any negative effects great wealth may have upon you

You may have a point

As usual our ward is a bit of gerrymandering; Seighford and Church Eaton are so close to one another. Only 3 candidates, 2 Tories, 1 who lives in the ward and 1 just outside. I suspect the Labour candidate who lives in Stafford itself has just been included to make up the numbers. Very sad.
A bit of a dilemma for me; I stopped voting for any of the main parties (Con/Lab/Lib) a number of years ago, but I've never failed to vote in an election (European, National or Local) and now I'm faced with a choice of 1 Labour and 2 Conservatives candidates for 2 Council seats. Its times like these I understand why some people have given up on voting.

Yes, and I really don't know what to do - I feel I should vote for the Labour candidate but then is it worth picking a Conservative or not. In a rural area they do do some work, I just don't want to vote for their party!
