I'll be treating the car to a new set of tyres as soon as, brakes first tho, once the fuel pump's sorted.
I love this Forum, even if I feel a burk asking questions, I know there is always someone who will be able to give me an honest answer.
I'm sure there's many more folk on here that feel the same way xx

It is 'berk' - rhyming slang - short for Berkeley Hunt, some say it's Berkshire Hunt.

Finally, after 2 weeks of no car - It's fixed!! Sumat do with a wire on the top of the fuel pump being corroded. They removed the old one and when fixing the new one back on, it didnt go on right, sumat like that. So that worked loose and the pump failed.
I don't care, I'm back on the road again.
Told the very nice cute-ish man that if it goes tits up again, I will be back, he hopes it is for something else not the fuel pump again.
So, they dragged their arses in fixing it, but it's done, still goes like the clappers with me behind the wheel, and I'm happy!

I have almost lost the will to live. I love my car, I honestly do. I don't care how old it is, it's my car and I will do/spend whatever it takes to keep it going for as long as possible, simply because I love it/ I now have a clicking noise when I turn the key. The fuel pump is kicking in, so it isn't that at fault this time. I rang the very nice blokes at Secure-a-car and the nice young lad there said it sounds like a dead battery. Precious has said he will give me a jump start later tonight, so that's fine.
I just needed to put my feelings down, let off steam so to speak. I'm heading into work at St. Georges in a bit. If there's any spare beds on the ward I'm booking myself in. I need to find somewhere I can have a good long loud scream and a cry..........

There comes a time with every car when you need to get rid of it and move on, however much you may love it.

I changed my car a month ago because that time had come with my Sedici. I'm so glad.

I haven't had it a year yet, can't afford another.
It's old, and I know I look ridiculous driving it, a fat woman in a teeny car,

Ah, I thought you had had the car longer. Good luck with getting it sorted.

Thank you sweetie. I really love the thing, visibility is shite, it's old so things are wearing out quickly. Mechanics don't want go near it cos its awkward to work on.
It's my bit of freedom, it means I can go and visit my sister when I want, where she lives there isn't a bus service. It means I don't have to rely on anyone for a lift or owt. Right now I feel as if everything's against me.

I went to Pipe Gate yesterday, where my sister works, All the way I was thinking, it's going conk out, or I'll park up and it won't go again. I just know I'm going be miles away from home with no way of getting back. I don't trust mine, but I really have no hope in hell of affording a new one........

No me neither - even if I sold my old banger it wouldn't give me enough cash to buy another car :(
