More cuts to Stafford Hospital A&E

proactive

Enjoying a drop of red.
Those of us with the patience will have just received a Lefroy newsletter email. It seems to have no obvious mention of hospital matters.

According to some inside information, I understand that we might brace ourselves for a final admission that A&E will close fully at Stafford about April-time. This is not 'official' information, of course, but it comes from people that ought to know what's actually going on.
Just received his newsletter. The guy seems absolutely convinced that he is the Honourable Member for Stoke on Trent.

Are they abolishing Stafford as a constituency then?

Opthamology has now moved to Cannock so that's another department out of there! That means I now do not visit Stafford at all for any of my Diabetic care. GP clinic, Greyfriars Therapy unit, Chiropodists, Cannock or my opticians take care of it all, for now!
While all of these are for ongoing care, and an absolute pain in the arse to deal with some of them, A&E will cost lives due to delays. Of that, I have no doubt!

He is the member for a constituency that have given him a steadily increasing majority - up to 55% last time.

Why bother?

A word of thanks to the very hard working NHS staff at every level .

You work extremely hard under very poor conditions for long often unpaid hours

You know who you are and you are appreciated by those you look after and their friends and relatives

I'm very sorry that you have to operate under such adverse circumstances and for the way you have been taken for granted by the political elite

Don't give up
