Whether they're coming or not now, Morrisons deserves to fail for being useless at customer relations. Maybe the council has a gagging order on them.

I notice at the back of Morrison's/Waitrose, Plumbits have invested in a new sign for the outside of their hardware store after 24 or so years. It looks very smart. I wonder if that is to be more in-keeping with the new modern supermarket opposite and planted trees?

Yes council did actually bit they have a legal compliance to investigate as an alleged legal company started submitting complaints about almost every signage in town just because theirs was refused

Asked Morrison Twitter team the big question...

"Can you confirm when the new store in Stafford is opening, or indeed if it is actually opening"

Answer: "I'm afraid I don't have an update on this one at the moment".

I replied: "Doesn't sound very promising. Lots of rumours in town saying you will never open the store. Lack of communication won't help."

Make of that what you will.

If I get another answer I will let you know. Their reply took 11 hours so it may be a while.
