Some of us quite like the Stone Walton. My Nan used live round that area. People were friendly, not looking to buy a house just for the school their child went to.

We have some friends who live in Walton village. They moved there because they liked the house and it's gardens. Their kids do not attend Walton High.

We are looking at staying out of town centre and aiming more at surrounding areas.
Stafford is surrounded by some lovely villages just a short journey from the town itself. I’m quite fond of Weston and Salt but ultimately it’s what you feel comfortable with and what you wish to have handy/ travel for. If you go for somewhere around rickerscote lane you can have the best of both worlds

Weston's better with having two pubs for if one's closed as it currently is in Salt.
There might also be other factors to consider.
From what I've seen The Hollybush is well on it's way to former glory- certainly hope so, a lovely summer pub
