Jeasus, you know me so well.

But actually, my dad (in his 80s) is always going on about me being left eyed, right handed, but always catching things with my left hand..... Is this a thing then? I thought he was having some weird kind of Boomer joke...

Wait.... Is that you Dad?!
Jeasus wants you for a Sunbeam

He ended up with a Minx

Got up to thick grey sea mist (and I'm halfway through Stephen King's story on this ) and a thin drizzle. Very glad to see it though, any bit of water that seeps out of the sky is welcome right now. Lawns are turning brown.

2.30am

Husband wakes me as there is a bat in our bedroom!!

He grabs the cat and makes run for it.

It keeps circling lower and lower until I manage to open a window.

Now wide awake paranoid it's in the bedsheets....
We had one suddenly emerge from somewhere inside the house at night a couple of years ago, while we were sitting watching telly. My screams were making it go even more bonkers around the room .

After British gas dis-owning British Gas Evolve , the ones apparently supplying us until 'our' British Gas took over the supply a few days ago, and telling us we would have to contact the uncontactable Evolve ourselves.........we now have a British gas standard letter with changes of general terms and conditions . ' We have removed references to "British Gas Evolve " as we no longer use this name and call ourselves "British Gas".

What a bloody kerfuffle , with each agent we've spoken to these past few weeks denying they are anything to do with Btitish Gas Evolve customers!

This wayside cross was built four hundred years ago and a small gathering was held there last night, to celebrate the quadricentennial and to promote a book that a local has written about the story around it.

It being essentially a memorial, the local clergy got involved.

I attended, as it's on the usual route I take to the pub anyway, and I wanted to get a copy of the book - and to get a record of the Church of Ireland chap's most impressive ponytail - that was the best I could do.

There was a heavy security presence.

One or two speeches went on a bit...

Went shopping, after 2 months away I'm shocked at both the rise in prices and the dickheads on the road.

Had one car approach doing at least 60 in the a34 roadworks, then drive right up to my bumper and beep his horn gesturing at me to move. No idea where, it being single lane and a 30 zone, so I slowed to 20 as I had Eric in the car and figured if he's going to crash into me better its at slower speeds.

Can anyone guess what he was driving?

Had to take bus apart just....lost my bus pass down the side of the seat
Can't go anywhere without causing a scene :embarrass::lol:
Hubbys brute strength also unearthed a treasure trove of bracelets etc as well !

Posh freebie afternoon tea booked ....built up loyalty points in the hotel we've regularly stopped in here over the years , but won't be needing to stay there again now we're living here. So traded in for' afternoon tea for two'.
Never had one before.

Then hitting the pubs again , like last night :pint:

BMW's are fitted with a small device in the headliner which lowers a tube, bores a hole through the driver's skull, and sucks out all the brain matter.

However, for the Audi driver, no such crudity is acceptable. For them we must consider Vorsprung Durch Technik.

Audi uses a small sonic transmitter, also built into the head liner. This beams radiation at the resonant frequency of the driver's 'reptilian complex' part of the human brain. This is the oldest part of the brain, and sits near where the spinal column enters through the skull. So, when confronted by an Audi driver, you are in effect, confronted by a Velociraptor.
:P

Are you supposed to have ALL the cakes on the stand when going for afternoon tea ?
After stuffing my face with 5 , and hubby having 3 after polishing off all the sandwiches between us.....now sitting in a bar supping Hogan's cider, with my handbag stuffed with cakes ....
If you can find it, I prefer the 'gentleman's afternoon tea' as I'm not much of a cake lover..... Stuffed full of savory treats, and a few cakes that I swapped with The Carer who had afternoon tea.... Last one we had was at Weston Hall

Had my eye test, & not sure what I was so worried about.

My eyesight has changed, but apparently its got better! How at 51yrs old does it get better.....

Anyhow, my astigmatism is worse, but its made my distance vision better... 2 new pairs of glasses (that I never wear) and another contact lense prescription on its way.... Hoooraaahhh for the NHS.

If your 'problem' is short-sightedness, then the general propensity to long-sightedness, as age creeps up, can mitigate it a bit.

I mean… you paid for them?

Most places will box them up if you don’t eat them all too. We went to the Moat House once pretty sure they did
