Mundane facts about your day: Part Deux.

proactive

Enjoying a drop of red.
Lovely stroll along the beech to Southport with the dogs this morning. Just had a Gregg's sausage roll for lunch (because I'm worth it). Bit of gardening this afternoon and then ofski to Anfield for some decent hostility and hopefully a good match this evening.

Saw a magpie yesterday in the garden that couldn't fly, saw again today when the dogs herded it around the garden, so scooped it up and put it in a dog cage (that @Thehooperman gave me when we first got mango!). Looks like a broken wing, I know it's just a magpie but took it to a rescue centre where they'll see if it stands a chance and go from there.
I just saw 'my crow' from last year, tidying up twigs along the road, still a slight limp, but doesn't seem bothered by it.

The lads doing the footpath were worried that I was missing the bright lights of Stafford, so they've left me with these overnight.

I tried to explain the concept of just leaving them running in the road permanently, for no apparent reason, but that seems to be a specialist technique that they haven't been on the course for.

Feel like I've got the Covid again, testing negative still but feel like death warmed up.

This time I HAVE to go to work or face further disciplinarys.... What has the world come to?
That's why I've stopped going into this Sainsburys here .Most of the staff are looking like death warmed up each time I've gone in, coughing and sneezing everywhere and getting too close at self service tills when having to basket check/authorise .

I got one bout of covid soon after one assistant coughed in my face at the self service tills . I kept backing off , she kept getting closer telling me how ill she felt , but had to go in !

Hope you feel better soon @littleme

Got up at 6.30 am to get showered before the 7am -1pm Severn Trent appointment (bloke turned up at 7am the last time)

Still waiting , in a foul mood and started on hubby for nothing really. Getting under my feet making a mess of the whole kitchen whilst making his breakfast ( He annoyingly doesn't close drawers or doors fully every bloody time. I'm sure he does it on purpose !!! ) Told him to go to his office and not come out til he finishes work at 4pm.

Hope he comes out when the bloke turns up though .......... He'll probably be bloody awkward after my moaning and announce he's not home til 4pm 😂

ST bloke just been . Hell of a lot more water in the hole than before , it's covering the meter now. Thinks it may be where they joined the pipes on the boundary line the other week not fixed secure....hopefully just that! Leaking over 1000 litres a day now.

(He also pointed out another neighbour over the road has got water pouring out of their grid thing on the pavement. Looks like the builders fitting the original pipework in our road wanted to get off for their friday afternoon pint !)

Yes, I've worked on building sites and well know that it's thirsty work.

Walking past the local community hub decided to stick my head in out of curiosity. Ended up having a detailed guided tour of every room of the building for half an hour by a very enthusiastic member of staff.
Declined the offer of joining a singing group , gosh would be my worst (and theirs) worst nightmare, and she agreed arts & crafts probably wasn't my scene when she had to re-fold the walking map up for me properly 😂

Decided back at home to be brave enough to ring the number on the leaflet for Zumba classes ...... bravery gone now after the land line 'not recognised' and mobile not answering. Looking on her website brought up warnings :hmm:

Must be a sign.....just stick to walking around on my own for hours for something to do instead.

I got a virtual Valentines card today. Not owt brag about, but it's the 2nd one I have ever received in over 40 years. I laughed when I opened the 1st, so he threw a strop and never sent another. Todays int off the ex though.
Only one I've ever got was in my school days, when valentines day was just the odd anonymous card sent. Mine was obviously sent for a laugh , never did find out who sent it.😂 (Well, not actually sent...put on my desk)

I'm still negative.....4 days in, so maybe it's this horrible virus going round. Feels just like when I had covid though.

I've felt way more poorly with things since I ended up in hospital with that chest infection/kidney failure ....maybe it's just age creeping up on me.....

When I got it bad the first time around I was testing negative on the Lat flows for 6 days after first feeling ill. 7th day onwards it started testing positive for ages.

Zumba woman just got in touch and booked in for my free trial session....... now got to be brave enough to go along on my own Monday and not show myself up too much. 😂
Come on, do it! New friends to meet and fun to be had, if you don't try you won't know! Imagine that me, @Glam & @Gadget are all with you, all a tiny bit tubby (a lot for me), not knowing what to do....we would all have a giggle, I'd probably wet myself, @Glam would be bossing us about, and @Gadget would know exactly what she was doing! You can do it, have fun X

You lot are what I'm hoping the ones in this group are like. 😁

Used to be good at aerobics and step classes back in the day. But went along to the line dancing with my mate at Stafford Rangers club one night . Everyone was so serious and must have been going for years.Had all the gear and boots on. Me and my mate were in hysterics ending up facing the wrong way half the time on the fast turn,turn,turns..... there were lots of not amused faces and tutting 😂

I also had a phone call from the lady over the road from sons today (the one who owns a farm and been supplying with me with garden plants and apples from her orchards since we moved here) . Asked me to go on an organised countryside walk with her in March. Said yes at first , then found it included walking through fields with cows and at least 5 stiles to climb over. I'm scared stiff of cows and these days navigating stiles turns into a bit of a drama with me stuck on top 😂 .
