( apparently awful service by recent owners has killed off what used to be one of the best & oldest pubs in Torquay according to some locals…..)
The Hole in the Wall is one of the only few decent real ale pubs in Torquay.@Mudgie If you’re planning on a visit to ‘ The Hole in the wall “ I’ve heard it’s closing down for good on 13th April

Paignton isn't very good for pubs nowadays I'm afraid. Thanks, Yes, I had heard.
From thirteen years ago I remember it as about the only good pub in Torquay so will probably also get to Paignton and Newton Abbot this time.
That's same as my youngest. I think he's getting a 3p per hour raise, or sumat like that. He's a trainer, some of the people he trains are getting possibly 10p. Not too sure.my sons mate was told that they are getting a pay rise. of... 1p extra an hour. which put the pay just over the legal pay limit or allowance. this is a major company. he's done all the extra training and for 37p a week more.

Does the training give them a better chance elsewhere? No loyalty in this game anymore, they care about shareholders way more than workers.my sons mate was told that they are getting a pay rise. of... 1p extra an hour. which put the pay just over the legal pay limit or allowance. this is a major company. he's done all the extra training and for 37p a week more.

Possibly. The equipment used etc. Why spend time and money training you on something your previous employer spent hours doing?Does the training give them a better chance elsewhere?
And we all know HR are there for the damage limitation to the company than the employees. No loyalty in this game anymore, they care about shareholders way more than workers.
