Just cancelled a viewing for later after driving around the area this morning. Nice New build on photos, but should have listened to sons " You'd be scared to walk out anywhere mum it's rough as @rseholes all around it". Nightmare journey through the area and didn't think we were going to get out of there in one piece !
I got a " I told you so!"
Hopes dampened a bit of getting the nice house near sons we've offered on. Popped in agents on his estate. Decision day is Monday. But 5 other offers so far and everyone either in same position as us ,sold to 1st buyers or nothing to sell & the cash in the bank.
2 more new areas to investigate on next 2 viewings this afternoon.....

Spent a pleasant couple of hours up the castle this morning. The scruffy git that lives in the back bedroom wanted to use his cb radio and whatever the other walkie talkie thing is. Heard a few people but nowt spectacular.
I went for the views up there, shame I forgot the binoculars and sight thingymajig.
Parking was tight, car park full, but there didn't seem to be that many people up there.

Talking of views, I remember seeing somewhere on our beloved Forum, a photo that contained all the major buildings in town, including I believe the Keep and Pennycrofts.
Does anyone know which 'bit' I could find it in? Wanted show the youngest. Thank you xx

Well , after waiting for the phone to ring all day ,the call came and now got to wait until tomorrow to see if successful on 'Best & finals

Just heard ... not got that house 
. Someone must have put a shed load extra in , as we offered 15 grand over the asking price as it was so nice and only 7 minutes walk from sons.
Nothing else out there at the moment in the nice areas within our price range. Extortionate prices being asked down there for decent areas!

250,000th poster!
Today I've spent nearly 4 hours on the phone to the car insurance people and police after someone drove into my neighbours & my car.... Insurance says my car isn't safe to drive, but I have to wait for them to come out & inspect it, send me a hire car, then repair it..... Not great when I'm at work every day for 7am & don't finish till 3 or 4 pm.... How on earth are they supposed to arrange all this when I can't answer the phone at work.

The wind having dropped, I headed out to the pub three miles away tonight. However, the temperature has also dropped and it was a bit sharp, but I made it there OK.

Once chap messaged me and I asked for pictures of previous work.
He sent me an image of his business card - just his name and number...
Apparently he doesn't have any pictures because it's all word of mouth!

Always worth an image search for any pictures supplied. I'm aware of someone who used some rather suspect "example pictures" - one was of an installation that was actually in Russia (rather a long way in the van every morning?) and the one 'showing' how neatly he might turf your lawn was from an online catalogue and actually showed artificial grass...
