Mundane facts about your day: Part Deux.

Fell in love with another nice house we viewed this morning . Detached as well , so did our sums and put an offer in this afternoon. Not getting my hopes up this time though, with viewings all day and asking offers 'over ***.' (Couldn't stretch much over price on this one , and even 15K over asking price didn't clinch one last week)

Still , worth a try.... fingers crossed !

Enjoyed a fantastic Toby ' help yourself ' breakfast whilst down there. Devoured about a fortnight's calories , but bloody yummy! 😁

And.... Learnt ( again ) to listen to Mr satnav man in future, instead of being cocky and thinking I know a better route. Told hubby to turn it off as it was driving me mad telling me to "turn around when possible", I knew the way......
Got hopelessly lost and had to do a u-turn and retrace our route back towards the viewed house , until the satnav finally kicked in again and got us back to sons house to start off to the pub again. At least the nice barman was understanding when we rang to say we were on our way to our booked table , but may be slightly delayed doing an unplanned tour of the area .

I didn't report on him yesterday, as events were evolving more rapidly - and there was an element of risk in his approach.

He seemed a lot happier and was eating well, sunbathing between meals. He did try a short test-flight in the back garden, which went well, apart from the expected landing gear issues. This, plus his friends' exhortations, led him to hop up to the front garden, in view of the colony across the road. I kept a discrete watch, but I failed to see him actually leaving. Although it was only a short journey, they did bring him food for it again. The lack of any evidence to the contrary, in this garden or under the trees across the road, might suggest that he did make it back there and he may now continue his convalescence there, I hope.

We'll see if I ever spot him again...
Hope he's ok & back with his family.

How's the house hunting going @staffordjas ? Middle son put his house on the market at 5pm on Wednesday, and it was sold by 10am the next morning.
Pleased for him @littleme :) Hope he find a nice place soon.

We'd got an offer for full price and 14 viewings booked in within an hour of ours going on the market. Appts kept piling in that day and had to stop taking anymore. Had 3 days of about 25 viewings . I thought I'd have an agent showing people around ( like its been in Worcester each time), but it was me having to do it all.:o

Trouble is , the houses in the nice areas we are looking at have lots scrabbling after them and its hard to even get viewing appointments. Feel like we've struck gold when we do actually get to view one!

He's found a house he wants but it's a new build and the plot hasn't been released yet. Fortunatly his buyer is willing to wait till its built.

Seems to be a sellers market right now, I do so wish I could afford to move.

We looked at newbuild , but types being released ready for aug/Sept finish are titchy.
Wouldn't even fit our settee in , never mind the chairs. Could choose a plot on the plan for bigger one , but next year til that's due.
Thats our emergency reserve plan....

I think there is EXACTLY the same number of each. (Yeah yeah, I know, the odds against that coming out are phenomenal. But as a bet it's worth a quid to become the richest man in the Solar System, possibly within 10 parsecs in any direction of deep space. 🤪 )

If I do win I'll buy everybody in the forum a pint. (Mmmmm .... better make that half a pint as I'm thinking of becoming a Yorkshire man.)

:P

There are so many factors. On the doors side, are we counting cat flaps, cages, doors on doll houses?

On the other are we counting rollers, Wagon Wheels, episodes of Wheel of Fortune...?

Roller doors are presumably doors, but are they also wheels? If so, how many per door?

Are spare wheels actually wheels or just potential wheels?

In the old days, before things were improved to be just dragged along, there would be an enormous number of wheels associated with a pair of curtains. (Some curtains may also perform a door-like function?)

Don't mention revolving doors, that could create a matter/anti-matter vortex event.

What about a Catherine wheel ... ? Of course this could lead to a debate as to whether it stops being a wheel when it's finished firing off.

Such a debate could go around and around .... !!! 😛

Having a bit of a ballache with Odeon at the minute. They've been sending emails for months saying I need to update payment type for my Limitless membership as they're phasing out the option I signed up with, but the option to update payment on the website doesn't work. I tried it across multiple different browsers and multiple devices and it just gives an error message. Got in touch with email help, they said the easiest thing to do is cancel my account and sign up again, which I agreed to but then never heard back for 2-3 weeks and nothing changed. Chased it up a few days ago and got a reply from somebody else saying they have now cancelled the account, but I can't sign up with a new one yet because the website still thinks my membership is active.
