After searching every shop in New Quay, picked some other things up in town fow a day on the beach. Stopped at the site shop..... Where guess what they had.... Millions of cables! I could have bought one last night when I fist realised.
I remember going into WH Smith around 1990, during a hot spell. They had the air conditioning cranked up to eleven and it was remarkably cool - a welcome thing for the few minutes that you would be in there.I've escaped the heatwave today by going to the cinema because, as we all know, cinemas are the coldest places in the world.
Nooooo, that's Supermarket's!I've escaped the heatwave today by going to the cinema because, as we all know, cinemas are the coldest places in the world.
Ah, I saw him again yesterday. He still has a bit of a limp, but seems OK otherwise.Having finished tidying his room up for tonight, it's clear from the debris that his mates have been supplying him, too. There's stuff there that is not available on-site.
Of course, whilst I was slaving away, my guest was busy sunning himself.

I was surprised at what a difference it made.In this sort of heat you MUST wear a hat. Believe me, I've found that out the hard way !!
And it doesn't matter a f*** what it look like, as long as it covers yer bean.
I've lost count the number of people who block our gates by parking their cars in front. We had the gates put up in the first place to stop the bastards parking in the driveway. Last idiot came back to find his car had 'moved' from in front of my gates to the road. He was not happy. He was even less happy when I made my opinion clear of him and his parentage.WTF ! Had someone's car parked right on our lawn since I looked out at midnight , and the wheels against one of my recently planted bushes
The neighbours out early with their dogs this morning didn't know who it belonged to.
Left a note on the windscreen when we went out for our walk.
Walking back at the end of our walk , the car was driving out of the road.Flagged it down......apparently a bloke from Zimbabwe over visiting his family , and stayed enroute in an air b&b down the road. Arrived late and couldn't park outside their house, so spotted our lawn and parked on that. "I parked there on the lawn so that I made sure I wasn't blocking you in if I parked on the driveway"
Un-bloody believable It's our private land!!!! Quite obviously not a public space!
He apologised profusely , but who in their right mind does that???
Been parking our car away from the grass incase it catches fire, then some moron parks right on it.
He was driving with the A4 size note still on his windscreen where we left it under his wipers. Probably unread & staying there until he returns the rental car!
Just remember, things happens in 3s! xxAs son was asleep after his night shift, and me wanting his big square clay garden pot (been there unused for 3 years ) I burgled his back garden and he never even noticed until he woke to see a photo of it sitting on my lawn
Had to dig all the soil out into bags with a little trowel I found in his shed, so that I could drag it to the car, but the old Walton school motto ' Persevere' came into play.
Bought a nice new plant from the garden centre to put in it, and it's now sitting looking lovely on the lawn , next to the Bush that was parked on last night. They'll have a bloody great big dent in their car if they try parking there again!
Neighbours were all saying they couldn't believe it . They've all been here 17-25 years and never happened before. First time for a water burst, now first time for rogue parking.. sure someone up there above has got it in for us!
Found out that the compost bin in the woods, by our secret side gate into them, is what our seller put there. Been climbing through the stinging nettles to get to it, trying not to make such a visible pathway as I went.Massive plant pot now filled with goodness at no cost ( apart from a few nettle stings)
