Had to have a drive around for miles hoping to charge the car battery up this morning. (Power to ignition playing up last night, wouldn't even try to turn over at first try to go to aqua, but minutes later it did , minus the power to radio/clock display for the first half mile each time . Luckily got me back from aqua after, I had the girls from the class on standby ready to push  . Wouldn't rev up at first whilst standing still at traffic lights either. Once it did I was revving like a boy racer to make sure I wasn't stuck in the middle of a junction!). Only had the brand new battery since May!

Decided to have a run around in the country roads after it kept going down the dual carriageways this morning. Quite enjoyed exploring pastures new.

And ......... I've now put the curse of StaffordJas on my really good hairdressers & beauty salon that I've used since moving here. After going strong for 30 years, the owner isn't renewing the lease this time and selling up. :( My beautician wanted to take it over but the bank said no. :(

I have worked for the last 2 nights, this morning, I slid into my bed at 08.30ish. At 09.30 I was woken by someone knocking at the front door. We have a cast iron knocker so it's bloomin' loud. I ignored it, but they persisted.
Opened the door to find my sisters other half, (known as littleknobhead) he had come to fix my roof. He has just left. I am beyond tired, but I have belly pork cooking nice and slow in the oven. I daren't go bed yet, it'll ruin!

Thank you :hug:Preparations are afoot, pumpkins await the tender mercies of the spawn, With the roofers mostly finished and gone for the weekend I'll put the decorations up outside, this year we are experimenting with black light. Our little altar has had a holiday spruce up with some cute little pumpkins. We made Samhain style biscuits for Spawn3 to take to school today 'cause they are off on her birthday. She's given us her request for her birthday cakes, this year she wants 'Bloody Cupcakes' I'll let you know how they turn out lol. We are off to the Safari Park for their Spooky Spectacular on the day with her BF and family. It's going to be a bit different this year, Spawn2 will be missing as she's off to cat sit for EldestSpawn,MotherofSpud today for a week. I suppose there will be less arguing :lolsmash:

Well if all that passes for a night out in Worcester, it’s no wonder that you’re not missing Stafford.

I bought €500 euro in Sainsburys Cannock but when I got home they weren’t in my bag.
I phoned up without holding out much hope but yes, they had been handed in.

If you are the person or who knows the person, a huge big thank you, you have restored my faith in human nature.

That's great to hear!

I know not everyone is a fan, but even travelling I find a card like revolut or monzo much safer. Use anywhere you would a card, also at cashpoints just like a bank card, but always at better rates than an exchange

Yesterday was exhausting but so much fun! I was amazed though, I have never EVER seen the safari park so empty. No queues for anything unless you had to wait for the ride to finish. All food places had plenty of tables, no waiting. It was really odd considering it was half term and Halloween. All I can think was either the weather (wasn't really that bad, just a couple of showers and was really mild) put folk off or, everyone was waiting till evening to show up. But it was getting dark as we left and the carparks were emptying not filling. Weird!

Well , got Saturday evening plans sorted for us! A visit to Worcester hospital for hubbys 7pm appointment for several CT scans .
( Bit scary how fast the appointment has come through though. Know the doc said he wanted them for all parts of his body and done urgently , but wasn't expecting just a few days after , and on a saturday night :hmm: )

Seeing a huge influx of anti covid memes, just as the government are being asked lots of questions about their shit response. Obviously just a coincidence, probably the fault of Ukrainian nazis!

Finally got my NHS App working ok after spending an hour on the phone standing in an isle whilst shopping in Tesco. A very helpful person in the doctors surgery decided she was going to work on this until it bloody worked when she found out the NHS helpline hadn't helped solve the problem at all ( would be when out shopping that they phoned me! Was using the shop & scan so couldn't even leave the trolley and go outside )

Scarily had to delete my NHS account , knock the whole lots off and put back on again hoping all the data still remained on the systems , and open a new account. It worked after lots of faffing about getting millions of verification codes to enter.. Had a go at hubbys after , doing the same thing and he's up and running again as well. Yay! Like winning the lottery 😂 (Now just hope no-one in the NHS starts messing around the their computer again.....)
