Which of course is the very worst thing you could do. In those circumstances you stay put upstairs, dial 999 and if you have the facility, trigger your house alarm from the panic button in the bedroom.
We haven't got a house alarm.
Normally have my phone charging on the landing overnight , which it was at the time, but going to plug it in the bedroom in future for easy access if someone does get in. (Doesn't work while it's charging , a replacement for original one that started playing up with same problem , so have to charge it overnight once I know son is back home from work ok).

Do you mind saying what area roughly?

just a general idea, obviously not asking for street name etc
Wildwood. Just had a visit from the cops.

Wishing this bloody snow would stop! Been tottering around the icy street , first time out in it except for feeding the birds, clearing the drive for son to get off it the other day , and an attempt at a :snowman: .

One good thing that came out of last nights activities..... got to chat to some neighbours who've lived in the street 23+ years for the very first time :)

Not entirely sure I'd need that lot for a walk across the Chase in the snow but, if it makes you feel better, I did take a hip flask and jr and I shared a bar of Old Jamaica. Also we met a 'regular' up there who gave her usual three dog biscuits to canine p.
