Did my good samaritan act for the younger sister earlier, she int feeling brilliant and didn't fancy leaving the house, so I said i'd get a few bits n bobs for her. All went fine, till I had try get out of her back of beyond (Bishops Offley) driveway. Took me 20 mins of trying on my own, had walk the half mile back to the farm to get a shovel. She dug, I revved the back end out the engine and clutch. Then a really lovely couple came along and gave us a push. Wasn't able stop and say thank you to them, left that to the youngest do. it took hour n half in total. Won't be doing that again in a hurry!

Spent 40 minutes in a queue on hold to the Dr's, cut off twice, to find out they've not received my request for a repeat prescription that I put in the box outside on the 18th December. Annoyed & angry is the polite way of putting it.

I've had a banging headache all day long, not really fair when it's your day off & you're working 2 extra days in the week too.

Bloke up the road here, 86 and generally fit, has had a couple of "unexplained falls" lately and banged his head with the second one. Persuaded him to ring his quack this morning, they're about fifteen miles away. Appointment in one hour, plenty of time to get there. They gave him a good going over, patched his head up properly and attached some sort of heart monitor thingy. We came home then, after I had extricated myself from the left-handed Lidl where I was parked.

We're going back again in the morning, so they can see what the machine has recorded and decide how to proceed from there.

I am not in Stafford...

My hairdresser hasn't opened since the November 'lockdown', I haven't had my hair cut since October and I normally have it cut every 5 weeks. My neighbours have clippers with a grade 6 attachment, I am very tempted.

Hubby used to pay a fortune every 3 weeks at Francesco . Not been since the first lockdown when I started doing it with the clippers for him. I must say it looks pretty good each time now (apart from the one time he grabbed the shaver in his temper and started blindly doing it himself....used the wrong side, so ended up with the 'bald' strip that suddenly appeared being matched all over . At least he was working from home so didn't have to venture out whilst totally bald  )
