Well, confusing!

I thought (hoped) Peter Capaldi might of been a bit 'darker', some of it I found a bit silly - like the bit when he was jumping from roof to roof & then onto the horse...but overall still entertaining - although Tom Baker/ David Tennant/ Matt Smith are still my favourites....

Agreed, bit confusing!

I won't say much more for the benefit of gadget - guess we'll have to keep watching and see how the series goes!

I haven't seen Dr Who yet - have it on record!

I'm sorry but I'm not looking forward to it - it has to be said (and you'll all hate me)

That dude is OLD. Proper old like. He's more likely to break a hip than break a mysterious case!

Old old old old old. I liked the young spry crazy chaps.

I will watch grumpily then consult my 8 year old cousin who is the resident Dr Who expert in our family!

seen it ... storyline was silly , as littleme pointed out he wasnt as sinister as we was led to believe.

the feature length episodes are never as good as the usual episodes unless theres a re-generation involved so i cant base anything on the first show.
i think they have dragged the "doctor/assistant romance " thing on for far too long so im looking to see how future storylines develop.

I had Golden Valley, Fanny Bramley and the Winkley Sam's dry, all of it lacked the certain something that I like in a cider unfortunately, especially the Fanny Bramley which I found too nasty to drink. I was too full and not recovered enough from Friday night to try more sadly.

Drove over to Shrewsbury today, down the B road - nearly got wiped out by some utter moron in a yellow MG coming the other way, overtaking on a blind bend

Must have scrubbed most of my brake pads off avoiding a head on with said moron, and both me and passenger were just a little shaky for the rest of the run...

Glad you came out of that in one piece!

Shook us up a few months ago when an out of control car was careering straight towards us on the M6 ,and I somehow managed to avoid it by a fraction of an inch . All I remember is thinking in those few seconds "Sh1te, this is it, we're dead" and the look of horror on the drivers face as he was spinning closer and closer towards us before somersaulting several times and ending up on his roof.
Luckily I have quick reactions-as hubby says, if he'd been driving at the time we might not be here to tell the tale.

Brings it home...no matter how careful you are driving, through someone elses stupidity and recklessness ..................

My planned sleep in this morning was completely ruined by an ignorant neighbour sitting in their driveway blasting the car horn at 7am for another member of the family to get a hurry up

Ooh! Ignorant people who do that make me so cross!

The horn. Use only while your vehicle is moving and you need to warn other road users of your presence. Never sound your horn aggressively. You MUST NOT use your horn

while stationary on the road
when driving in a built-up area between the hours of 11.30 pm and 7.00 am
except when another road user poses a danger.

Illegal use of car horn - fines

Police have the power to issue motorists a fine for the illegal use of car horns. This will typically be in the form of a non-endorsable Fixed Penalty Notice (FPN) of £30. If drivers do not agree that the FPN was correctly issued, they can challenge the decision in court, but if magistrates agree with the police they can increase the fine to up to £1,000.
Local councils also have the power to potentially take action against individuals or commercial operations under the noise pollution law.

Making complaints

Motorists may be unwittingly breaking the law and being a nuisance. For example, a driver may sound their horn in the early each morning as a goodbye gesture, or frequently using the horn at night.

Complaints should initially be conducted with the individual responsible. If the issue is not resolved, you may contact your local council who will investigate the problem.

If the individual is found to be causing excessive noise pollution and is breaking the law, the council will initially contact the individual(s) to request they cease the offence in question. If the individual(s) continue, the council can issue an Abatement Notice.

The notice may require that the nuisance be stopped altogether, or limited to certain times of day, depending on the nuisance. Failure to comply with an Abatement Notice is an offence and legal proceedings may result. If found guilty of an offence of this type, the maximum fine is £5,000 on domestic premises and £20,000 on commercial premises.

Back on days for a month starting today, after what seems to have been 5 months of nights, give or take the odd day shift. Looking and feeling like sumat the cat dragged in. Have 2hrs in which to make myself look part way decent. It'll never happen.

It was eery when we were going away on holiday last thursday morning and saw no cars on the Cannock Road at all from the co-op entrance of Wildwood, all the way to weeping cross where there were only 2 cars in sight coming from lichfield rd direction even then! Kept wondering if I was still asleep and actually dreaming the journey.

Thanks :)

Yep, very true sadly - all we can do is keep our wits about us...
