I had such a good day in the garden yesterday, I've got a shed a greenhouse and a summerhouse to play in now. I put some old cupboards in the shed and the green house yesterday and the greenhouse is all ready for the next season. I suppose i'll have to start on the work indoors now. I't made me remeber a saying from my childhood. "can i play out"

Toaster tried to set the house on fire this morning, put a couple of slices in and went to look at the news on TV. Was distracted with the Russian jet shooting and a while latter noticed an acrid smell 
walked back into kitchen to find the room full of smoke and two charred remains in the toaster. Opened the doors and windows to let out the smoke but the kitchen still smells and here's me thinking I only had to worry about the Hotpoint tumble drier

I once saw one on the slip road coming off Hilton Park services...a rather worried looking driver standing looking at lots of rather crushed cars on the lower decks as the top ones had come crashing down.

I heard if you fill a sock with clean cat litter and place it on your dash board it should soak the moister.. Haven't tried it but think I might and will report back.
It's been nearly 3 weeks since I hurt my ankle. Apparently it's ligament damage and can be very painful (no shit Sherlock!) I have an attractive leg brace and crutches. Nice nurse told me it could take some months to heal.
It can and it can also happen again once it's weakened oh did his 4 weeks ago for second time in two years

The OH has been up all night with a bad stomach. All of the Spawn including Son Spawn (Eldest Spawn's boyfriend) are down with extremely nasty colds which the OH also has.
I have dress rehearsal tonight and the play starts on Thursday. So far I'm ok but I'm not liking my odds one bit!

If I had rememberd last week or when we were sent the letter about the Viking costume, then I could of bought on online instead of having to make one yesterday for today! Grrrrr!I was looking on there yesterday, there is quite a selection.
.....& when did parents start with buying costumes?! & why did no-one tell me...last ''Victorian day' all the other kids turned up in bought costumes, while I sent mine in a cobbled together home made one!
