I am away to London as we speak. £200 return on the train and I am glad my company are picking that up. I am going to teach an upscale suit retailer how to use Cash Management on their ePos. What a time to be alive.

As the only people to have our new landline number are hubby and Son, thought it was son messing about pretending to be a pizza delivery driver on the other end of the phone checking our address, so played along for a few minutes.... Turns out it was an actual pizza bloke after all! But strangely asking for the same name ( John Simcox) as other random callers have rung up after :strange:

Glad I don't give any personal info away to callers...

You tried googling your number and his name? This sort of thing usually happens when a number is reissued, I've had full blown slanging matches with debt collectors that were after the guy who last had my phone number (couldn't understand that a number can be re-issued, insisted he'd just watched the person in question walk into 'my' house but really he was watching the house that used to have my phone number). Odd that a pizza delivery place would have it though, unless it was just still on his account and he ordered online.

The pizza place had gone to do a delivery to the person who had given them our phone number as contact number , and the address they were looking for (something like 166 Castle Street) didn't exist...:strange::strange::strange:

Had lots of rental agencies and other people after this guy last year, one place was a student rental place in Eastgate Street who insisted that I must know him and have a contact for him, when I told them that they had the wrong number! Surely if he was renting off them, they should have the address he's renting :ohno: Something very strange going on !!!

Already pissed off with supposedly 'Virgin' ringing almost daily with "a very special offer" , but could I first confirm my name, address and characters from my password ...... one even asked "Well, can you confirm the bank you pay the direct debit with then ".... Asked the last one for their full name and home address and their bank details....they soon hung up and haven't had a call for a few days yet!

In the mood to thump someone!!!

Pissed off that sons outstanding deposit still hasn't been bloody received, despite repeated promises to him that it will be in the post, or paid into his bank account. The landlord refunded short which was disputed and agreed she would pay back. The others all had their letters and cheque, but son didn't receive anything. BUT...one of the other tenants had sons letter mistakenly inserted in her envelope along with her letter and cheque, but minus sons cheque.
3 bloody months now, so thought I'd get involved with it......rang her office again this morning to be told ..."she is out on business and not back til the week after next ". E-mail they gave me this morning to get in touch with her has come back as 'mailbox unavailable' :grr::grr::grr:

I would suggest contacting whichever of the three approved schemes the deposit was supposed to be being held by...

I'm just waiting for son to finish work later . Although going from the link you sent by PM in the past, we only have 3 months with his scheme to raise the dispute. Left it as she kept promising it was in the post, and the others got theirs......now just a few days past the deadline to dispute it! :( Hubby's all for driving down to the office in Malvern, but who is to say she will be there. Could be lots of petrol money for no result. (Suppose I could always get to meet her by pretending to be a student wanting to rent one of their properties , and arrange a 'viewing' during our few days in Worcester for the graduation ceremony ;) )

Does she promote her facilities via the University? If so, then they should know how much of a tosser she is - and they should stop being an accessory to her behaviour.

Yes, I thought about ringing them and letting them know as the meetings to sign the paperwork took place on the uni premises as well.

Just added to hubbys annoying day, after him getting several incompetent people on the other end of the phone whilst trying to ring about his ex-works pension scheme.
All the numbers on his pension paperwork said it wasn't them he needed. Finally got told a 'right' number, 45 minutes hanging on in a queue resulted in being told it wasn't their department. Told to 'look on-line' for an alternate number, as they couldn't help to get him where he wanted.

Also getting rather fed up of getting phone calls whilst around mums house from various people, me answering and informing them that she died the other week, them saying sorry for your loss, but then receiving letters to her house stating they had been unable to get in touch with her , so could she ring them!!! AAArrrgh!!!

Best one was when my brother rang Wolverhampton eye hospital to cancel mums appointment after getting a reminder letter through the post . Told the bloke on the other end of the phone that she had died, but the bloke wouldn't accept my brother cancelling the appointment. Was told " As she is over 18, she has to ring us herself" Brother asked "Did you hear what I said ? She's died" ...... for the answer to be "She still has to ring us herself!" Unbelievable :ohno:

Just got an email from Sky, asking what I thought about their wi-fi service in a theatre in Torquay. Must have picked it up as I was walking past there. Didn't realise they could get your email address just from walking past , I have Wi-fi switched on all the time, might be an idea to switch it off when out and about and not needing it ?? I often stood outside places to get their wi-fi in Paignton , but didn't realise places in Torquay were picking up my details when my phone never came out of my pocket that visit :lorks:

You've probably signed up to a hotspot before, so when you've walked past one it's automatically connected and registered your username against the specific hotspot. I registered for o2 wifi once, and it now automatically connects wherever I am.

Just got home and found two letters from the Halifax both saying there is a refund due on my two accounts with them from March to September 2012.

The account I use less has a refund of £740 and my main account has a refund of £250.

Not sure how they've made the calculations but I shall be cashing the cheques asap.

Nice surprise after a long 13 hour day out of the house :)

After taking a break from shouting on Sunday, my scheduled Monday and Tuesday shouting went ahead as planned.

On Monday i was a bit worried that, having shouted so much, i would have no shout left in me on Tuesday. It was touch and go when i went.

On Tuesday i threw caution to the wind, thinking that i would have a few shout-free days to recover.

On Tuesday i discovered that Wednesday would be equally shouty - this i had not accounted for.

The thought of a similarly shouty Wednesday almost floored me, but i dragged myself up off the floor and i shouted like the trooper i am

I now have a whole five day break in shouting that spreads in front of me.

I'm so happy i'd like to shout it from the rooftops.

But my voice is absolutely shot

I had to go in to the Hospital to have my wisdom teeth out.

I came around first in a ward of four beds, mine included, all having been through it, to a breakfast offering of toast.

Just toast.

We would've killed for soup.
Back on soup today!
I'm working my way up to toast. White toast with proper butter smothered in either marmite or peanut butter.
