Whilst Murdoch and Cameron were fingering each others arseholes it is said that Murdoch's News of the World hacked in the phone of then missing Milly Dowler and deleted messages, thus allowing more messages to be left and giving hope to her parents that she was still alive

Horrendous

Get more proof that some 'journlists' are scum sucking parasites, like we hadn't guessed. If you buy their papers you support this, time to stop.

The Dowler family then granted an exclusive interview to the News of the World in which they talked about their hope, quite unaware that it had been falsely kindled by the newspaper's own intervention
Street of Shame indeed.

I don't have a television or buy newspapers. Are there any other ways that I should be aware of where I might be accidentally giving money to Murdoch?

Actually I think you are spot on there

I am also pretty sure a lot of people do not undetstand that Murdoch owns The News of the World and Sky TV

Time for a boycott of all his empire

Hit him where it hurts him most

It really is difficult to think of something more deserving of a mass boycott, and shutting down of, this corner of the empire at the very least. I mean, really, just how much more despicable a business practice would you need?

Let's take the Merseyside boycott of the Sun, post Hillsborough, to new and glorious heights and blow this paper into the oblivion it deserves.

when i first heard about this this morning i actually couldn't believe the depths that some journalists appear to be willing to stoop to. This genuinely made my stomach turn a little as it's just such an emotive crime where you really do feel for the family. I'm not sure how much all of this coming out in the wash will actually help the family, but it's in the public's interest to know about this

you may also be interested to note that on his twitter feed robert peston (business editor for the bbc) has said that senior exec's at news corp (the company owned by murdoch that the news of the world falls under) are actually a bit scared as to worse revelations coming out. i can't actually comprehend what these could be

Pick any major human interest news story from the last decade

What I actually find more disturbing is the apparent intial 'cover up' or 'stand down' by, or issued to, the police on the phone hacking overall

If The Guardian had not persued the matter with such vigure I seriosuly believe all this plus the celebrity payouts would never have come out

It almost seems as if there was a 'deal' between the 'tabloids', the police and possibly the Prime Minister to sweep it all under the carpet

I hope we one day get a wikileak type insight into the whole apparent corrupt underhand way in which certain sections of our supposed respected professions act

I always read the Guardian and was horrified with the story as is everyone. Newsnight last night showed that the tabloid press were not printing the story on their front page. The Guardian and the Telegraph did so. Why do people read the tabloid press and especially Murdoch's? Someone on facebook should start a campaign to boycott the Murdoch press - anyone up for it... Why is the government sucking up to such a man - scared I suppose.

It is at times like these one can become very disillusioned with fellow Brits

And in some circles it is believed Peston is setting himself up for the top job at Murdoch Towers

I understand that Ford are saying that they won't advertise in the NOTW for the foreseeable future...

There is an 'official' NOTW Facebook page which has been receiving some vitriol, but they just delete a lot of it...
