New pub opening....

I've been told a new pub is due to open in Mill Street in April if things go well with council permissions. Anybody know anything about this? It's two people I knew from primary school who are opening it, but I haven't spoken to either of them to clarify the issue yet.

Good to see new businesses but I can't see it being very big unless they've knocked through if it is the old Maxim's.

I've just been for a post dinner stroll through the town and went up Mill Street to see if any work was going on. All the old blinds are on Maxim's and none of the outside has been touched, though there does seem to be a pile of stuff at the side. Also noticed the Nags was shut and there's a big "TO LET" sign up. The Tavern was open with one bar staff and one customer. Looks like Scoff is cutting back, thats if he was still running the Nags?

Any outfit trading in the environs of bridge st will will probably need anyone aged 18 and over to spend cash on their premises, i think Casa had intention of reaching a slightly more mature clientele however it wasn't longer before they were targetting the student night and offering free BBQ to all and sundry........
