Stafford's new Nando's restaurant has an opening date

    Nando's is set to open its doors from Wednesday, November 16 at Riverside, creating 37 new

    It will be opposite the M&S store over looking the River Sow. The restaurant will feature a range of Southern African inspired interiors and artworks, including Slatted Iroko table tops with Domino cast aluminium bases, genuine reclaimed oak flooring, yellow leaf shaped and black side chairs as well as urban inspired graffiti painted ceilings.

    Regional managing director Martin McTigue, said: "We can't wait to finally open the doors to our new Nando's in Stafford. The team are very much looking forward to seeing all the locals and visitors for their Peri-Peri-fix."

    It is one of a number of new restaurants set to open along the river as part of the new Waterfront car park development. Other restaurants are set to include Chiquitos and Prezzo.

    Work has now also begun on the new multi-screen Odeon cinema, which will stand next to the Waterfront car park.

the new Frankie & Benny's can't be far behind either.

How do I edit this?
There was much finishing off activity in Nandos when I walked past just now with furniture stacked inside & out& a couple of lovely olive trees in pots by the main door.

*Has* work started on the cinema? It was still being used as a car park when I walked past on Tuesday!

No cinema hasn't started and up to 4 weeks LXB had not completed their tender for the construction company.

regardless of the poorly written local press reports, the cinema along with the extension of the former e&s site won't be completed until 2018
