I went past just now and there are chaps in there, with the door open - and the signage is up.

There was a crowd of likely looking types hanging around outside, too.

I did not spot the girl from the chemists, however.

They're not there for interviews, they're the staff xD, they've been "employed" for about 2 weeks now, doing various tasks in the day, the kitchens been fired up n foods being prepped, the bars also been stocked and there's some beer in the back but no current open day has been given.

As for the tables, they were on hire for the opening date that came and went. The actual furniture should be coming soon.

What a shambles. You'd hire a van and drive to IKEA if it meant you could have furniture to open the bar.

Why have an opening day if you're not actually ready to open, if the place isn't actually furnished?

Would make more sense to get it all kitted out, stock the bar and then open.

Not providing guaranteed hours of work for those who want it, especially those in low-paying roles, can have a hugely negative impact on the living standards of workers and their families, as budgeting becomes near impossible

The bar isn't open, they were meant to start 6 days ago. I know some are in during the day but I can't imagine they are getting anything like the hours they are meant to work, I've been keeping an eye on it as I pass and there is little activity. If they are on zero hour contracts they will lose money for hours not worked, if they are on fixed contracts they will get paid.
