New watering holes and eating establishments in stafford?

They're not there for interviews, they're the staff xD, they've been "employed" for about 2 weeks now, doing various tasks in the day, the kitchens been fired up n foods being prepped, the bars also been stocked and there's some beer in the back but no current open day has been given.

As for the tables, they were on hire for the opening date that came and went. The actual furniture should be coming soon.
Just looked again, still no tables. Hope the staff aren't on zero hour contracts.
Why , what difference would that make if they were ?

You connected with it in some way then @Tumble weed ??

I was wondering where all the drinkers were coming from for all these new bars. Then I noticed they're building houses on the old Police HQ at Baswich House.

It's almost as posh as Doxey!!

I'd wait for a better source than spotted Stafford before writing it off, but it's lack of furniture is odd.

I've been involved for the last few weeks with the venue, n it is indeed true, after a catalogue of complete shambles, the place will not be open anytime soon. From what I'm aware, no one apart from the ex manager ( who has since been let go ) and maybe a handful of suppliers has received any money from the venue.

There is little to no stock on site and the first batch of furniture was indeed delivered then took away as they refused to accept cheque as payment from the venue. Don't know the deal with the current furniture as I left before the place was wound up after the vanishing act of the owner, but I know the wedding tables were indeed on hire.

But yeah, a lot of people have been screwed over already.

Whether it opens or not I can't say, the staff have pretty much lost faith though.

It's just madness.

What is it with Lloyd Waldron (from the White Sands group) that he runs round the country taking on venues with big publicity and promises ....but he doesn't actually open ANY of them ?

Is he just the Walter Mitty of the restaurant trade or just an eternal optimist or just someone with no idea or ....what???

A cynic might speculate that White Sands UK (Cayman Islands) could be a scam for siphoning away money from investors who buy into restaurants & bars that never open?

A cynic. Not me obviously, but a cynic.

Firstly I would like to make an OFFICIAL announcement and correct reason on the Living Room Stafford.
The owners have not absconded and left the business, and the simple explanation of the employees not getting paid their salary is untrue and false. All employees are paid at the end of the month and are not due salaries until the 1st of the month. We use a company named LivePay who can clarify that since all the employees were only added to them last week by the local management of The Living Room.
With regards to employees contracts being fake our company uses Peninsula we have informed them of certain comments and they are looking into these allegations.
The ticket event that we had in place was also on ticketing portals and all monies was returned to everyone that purchased a ticket on the following Skiddle and The Ticketsellers.
Now I would like to add the so called reason to close. We had over 289 people attend on the Saturday night and we would like to thank each and everyone of you that made an effort to attend. The closure is something we are looking into.
Now we also understand that employees not all were drinking from the bar for free and also taking bottles of alcohol home with them, and stealing from the kitchen. Whilst also disabling our CCTV, however we have an automated back up system in place and all CCTV was still recording. This is a serious matter and Stafford Police have been informed and are making their lines of enquiry.
If anyone else would like to comment further then please contact our solicitors who who are also looking at this serous gross misconduct. They are Priyesh Dave, Eversheds Sutherland.
We will keep people informed when we will reopen.

Quite how official it is, I don't know.

Bird in Hand doesn't look like it's being worked on, yet.

I was kinda hoping, they'd have that up and running before the end of the summer, still possible though i guess.
