This may be because certain people find it witty to insult others as part of their debate...you can't buy respect it appears. There should be strict codes of conduct on here , its not Facebook after all.

Well you keep saying that, perhaps you would care to indicate where you have been insulted?

As far as i can gather, this can only refer to -
a) me saying "Who said that?" in response to you saying you were being invisible - a pretty stock response you would have thought, akin to the inevitable "Sack the juggler!" after the dropping of crockery/glasses
and/or
b) Gramaisc saying "He's a lumberjack and he's ok" in response to someone asking what you do - a pretty stock response (post-Python) to someone who is a lumberjack

- in what way are either or both insulting?
Or have i missed something?

And certain forumites need to understand that by using social media for business, it is easy to come across in a way which can ultimately damage ones business.

Basic rule of thumb is if you want to get arsey, do it under your own name. Otherwise always choose the middle ground if you are posting on behalf of your company.

Feel free to have a pop if you must but I really am only trying to be helpful :)

why? i think you misunderstand what stafford forum is.. it's definitely not facebook, but nor is it a serious platform for serious business..

there are no "codes of conduct" by design - it's supposed to be a fun place for people to chat about anything they like.. don't get me wrong, i agree that sometimes the in-jokes and thread-derailment can get out of hand and annoying, but for the most part people play nicely and it's just a bit like being down the pub - minus the beer and worcestershire sauce french fries (soz basil)..

not strictly the same, but for some "official" discussion about similar matters, read this old thread:

Use of language on Stafford Forum
