I've been trying to think how anyone who's travelled long and hard, hopeful for a new future and a better life would think if they were housed in my old flat (which served me well as a student) - we were always told it was designed after a prison, so it is very contained, and pictures from when they were trying to rent out rooms (although I'm told they didn't have the permissions to do that) look like they've been maintained.

I can't see easily how it would work for any families that need it, but that might be the room changes, but there are bathrooms and kitchens, a laundry and outside space which would make this preferable to hotel room I'd have thought.

I hope they've not let it go into disrepair since the students moved out
They’ve been renting out the definitely-not-prison-cells for £400-odd monthly for a while now. I’m guessing things aren’t really going as planned with the new owners of the campus if they’re changing their plans again. They were already told they can’t just “make a university” early on.

In relation to this news, I’m sure this will fire up certain parts of Stafford’s populous into a mouth-frothing frenzy.

I don't think they could make it as far as Broad Eye though.

All the pictures I've seen have shown the river/canal boats around the old Brine baths 😭
I believe that you could hire rowing boats from the New Inn, but could only use them on the river upstream from there, to avoid the potential for naval battles with the Brine Baths fleet.

I think, If anybody has a problem with war refugees being homed in such a way and "our own homeless" not being looked after, they should campaign for it through the year rather than making a point when other people suddenly need help.

Your friendly local MP serves you 24/7 - 365 and would love to hear from you on all points. IT'S WHAT SHE GETS PAID FOR!

Isn't she an illegal immigrant from that Westminster country?

And they should make sure they vote accordingly as well.

We can afford to house our own, we just don't. Don't like it, there's a woman that doesn't give a feck what you think thats paid to pretend she does, go take it up with her but she won't listen and there's no point anyway because she'll do what she's told by her real bosses. The fact is the powers that be (controlled by Russians) need immigrants to point at and blame for all the brexit fallout, and companies like Cerco are needed to funnel public funds into their mates private hands, so it'll carry on.
