Now that would be interesting!Gramaisc said:Forum Radio?Admin said:We considered buying stafford.fm when the FM TLD was released, as we were saddened by the way the Super Radio Stafford debacle played out so hoped to make a go of it ourselves.
Dear God! Being lulled to sleep by the Basil and Marwood Show? Or being woken up by it?....
i would love to hear a basil & marwood show lol.. it would either be horrifically bad, or horrifically brilliant..Gramaisc said:Forum Radio?Admin said:We considered buying stafford.fm when the FM TLD was released, as we were saddened by the way the Super Radio Stafford debacle played out so hoped to make a go of it ourselves.

That was my thinking too. Whilst I don't mind listening on my computer if I'm sitting in one room at home, what if I want to wonder around the house (it's not like FM where I can tune in two or three radios and hear all around the house) or in the car?57mph said:personally, i think this is make or break for a radio station, if i can listen on a normal DAB (or in my car) then i'll tune in, if not i wouldn't bother.
Thanks Gramaisc, that's good news. It's unknown how long this might take though, and if I remember correctly Super Radio didn't bother going down this route because Ofcom are phasing out FM anyway, and the cost for a licence is massive!Gramaisc said:[Radio Today said:Former Signal Radio presenters Stu Haycock and Ray Crowther are behind the station, which says it intends to apply for an FM community radio licence from Ofcom at the next opportunity
before anyone gets the hump, as happened in the super radio thread, it's important to remember that this is a discussion forum and everyone is entitled to their opinion, and one can't please all the people all of the time! lol..unkillabill said:Another radio adventure for stafford another online station i was excited till i saw Ray Crowthers name Hes killed more radio stations than a u bomb over germany. Same old rubbish as before call the nurses Rays ready
thats true but what stafford needs is a full time radio station not a group of people that are known in st georges fleecing local people on the promise of a dream that never comes true. from super radio to stone fm to stafford fm before they take what they can get and runGlam said:I always used listen to Ray when he was on Signal, decent show, good music, can't ask for anything more in a morning.
unkillabill - the nurses won't be taking him away asap,he's too well known at St.Georges!
This is not Chorley FM, you know..basil said:coming in your ears........
