Quiet Stafford FM

Broadcasting silence to the people of Stafford 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Sounds like a winner
We haven't thought of how to entertain people in padded cells yet...

St.Georges doesn't have a padded cell.

I always used listen to Ray when he was on Signal, decent show, good music, can't ask for anything more in a morning.
unkillabill - the nurses won't be taking him away asap,he's too well known at St.Georges!
thats true but what stafford needs is a full time radio station not a group of people that are known in st georges fleecing local people on the promise of a dream that never comes true. from super radio to stone fm to stafford fm before they take what they can get and run
Actually the team is rather large that's working on this project, only the presenters are listed on the site. If people " take what they can and run " they can keep running because we'll keep going.

That's the spirit! As others have said, it's important to remember that every user on here is an individual, and no one person is representative of The Forum as a whole.

I know some people choose to make comments/posts/threads that may be construed as unconstructive/hurtful/etc. (and I'm not talking about unkillabill here, I just mean in general) but I take pride in trying to maintain as "free" a forum as one can here, without letting things get too out of hand. So I will never edit or censor someone's post just because someone else might disagree with it, or because it is deemed an unpopular opinion, or so forth.

Stafford Forum was borne from a love of Stafford, so obviously we would want any Stafford-based radio station to thrive, so we will be happy to help in any way we can. :)

It's understandable that people may have opinions on some individuals, however there's a time and a place for personal agendas I believe. Personally I would be very disappointed to see any comments that read in a degrading manor as to what we're trying to achieve, regardless of who's involved. People are entitled to objective opinions but constructive criticism is more welcome than playground behaviour as we're doing this for Stafford. So if people want it to happen, then help us make it happen together. It's not rocket science... :P

Also, cheers for the support :)

Yes, but as I say please remember that Stafford Forum is a discussion forum, where anyone is free to discuss what they like. It is not up to me, or anyone else, to tell people how they feel!

As you have no doubt seen from some of the other posts/threads round here, we have more than a few users who have unpopular standpoints on various subjects, but it is not my place to say who is or isn't right. Indeed, this would make for a very boring place if it was nothing by sycophants and "Yes men"! If someone has an opinion on something, be it a social issue, a film, a political ideal, or their favourite type of bacon, and others disagree then it is up to the individual to post their counter-argument. Therein lies the crux of "discussion". :D

I personally will never demonstrate bias, on any subject. My job is to make sure the place runs smoothly, and that everyone is given a fair chance to voice their opinion!

Stafford Forum is exactly such a place. :)

- MPs (e.g. Tom Harris, Rowan Draper, Mark Heenan, etc.) have used it to promote their agendas
- Bands use it to promote their music
- Campaigners use it to promote their voice
- Individuals use it to voice their opinions on other individuals (e.g. the Prime Minister, MPs, celebrities, etc.)
- ...and so on!

You're welcome. As you have no doubt seen, the vast majority of users here want to see you succeed, regardless of who is involved, or even whether they particularly like the content/output. Stafford just wants a Stafford radio station! :D

Nail hit squarely on the head I think. Whatever the ins and outs of the past it doesn't matter any more really does it? It's what happens next that matters.

Your website's looking good, the production quality of the videos here is good.

Hopefully, this will be followed up by a decent quality local radio station which when it can, goes the FM route if that is what people still want in 2013 or whenever it is licences are up for grabs, providing local people with what they want.

In the meantime internet radio is better than nothing (and suits me just fine as it happens).

Oh don't get me wrong I totally understand the point of this forum! I don't have a problem with it. People can say what they want. I wasn't asking you to moderate them! I was just making clear that any crude remarks absent of constructive meaning, from any individuals which deface, undermine or slag off people, will not go unnoticed and I will respond to them on their level of intelligence :)

Other than that  :D

Indeed; it's great to hear that we're all singing from the same hymn sheet. Do you have a Hymn Show in your programme, incidentally? ;)

I shall tweet about you now (see; Stafford Forum is "totally down with the kids" ;) ), see if we can further wind-up the hype machine!

Genius, and stream it on Sundays - what about the naughty alternatives kids used to sing in primary school?

Oh dear, hopefully wont be long before I can laugh about you in the Darwin Awards.

P.S Looking at your registry date and lack of posts normally suggest you're the kind of person that makes 2 accounts 1 for normal form usage and the other for such childish outbursts like this.

Now you're laughing at your own poor jokes? Christ... I thought you would be at least "intelligent" enough to at least say something remotely amusing. At least you're trying, that's all that matters...
