One has been taken....this is TBA when all contracts have been finalised. Someone who has not been in town before.

I think that then leaves possibly smallest unit left which I thought was under offer/ discussions but I haven't touched base for a while.

As a friend of the missus has stated they intend to empty wedgewood building (opposite, tipping st side) from all staff and knock it down, she said they have little room in the staffs place builds.

my guess, as SCC have done such a crap job of not being unable to fill those shop units I am guessing they will become offices as the rent is ridiculous for their size.

I know one of the smaller independents around Mill Street enquired a few months ago about the smallest unit by phone, letter and email - never even had the courtesy of a reply

Yes, this was exactly the same when the Guildhall first opened. Independents could not get a lease in the main units in that centre.
How things have changed, now they would roll out a red carpet, give you a lower rent and probably a lift with all your stock.

If you ever feel a bit down and fancy a laugh check this trip down memory lane ;

Seen a sign in Vision Express this morning, they're closing in the guildhall on the 22nd August and re-opening on the 25th in the riverside centre.

Also noticed walking past the riverside centre, Outfit are opening on the same day as Marks and Spencer on the 18th.

According to the Express & Star, it's officially open as of today.
So, can anyone tell me if the riverside footpath has finally been reopened?
