Spiders.

They're really not so bad. There's some built in very time deep hatred of spiders, some kind of species memory maybe, yet flies are intensely more annoying, and midges are a f****** nightmare (particularly if you've been up the west coast of Scotland in the summer.) My Old Dear used to call spiders 'little housekeepers' because they zapped out the more numerous insects that invade your house, and then hide away (generally) when you came into the building. :)
Of course, when they get to the size of an 1100cc Suzuki back wheel, it's time to get you your shot gun out.

This house's garden is rather over run with spiders. I've never seen so many. Thankfully the house is mostly spider free. No more ninja impressions from me reaching into cupboards now. Not that I can do much reaching right now, but you get my point.

Spider season must come early in Scotland - I've seen 7 in the last few days!

Ughhh!
And, with their spider eyes, they've probably seen you as well.

They're always looking at you.
Tonight, they're looking at you tonight."

That looks like Ophilia the Monster.... I have a terrible phobia of spiders, but for some reason watch these little ones all the time, they're fascinating! I even follow their Facebook page...
