Will def do the next one though,
Doesn't that rather depend on the diagnosis?
I guess so!

Looking more and more like an allergic reaction TBH, we shall see. All I know is that even my bloody palms itch now, not impressed!

ToriRat

Is that a Moomin?
Maybe get some antihistamines down your neck and see if the reaction eases? If not calomine lotion is good for itchy bits...

Quite the opposite, I recklessly increased it on Saturday! I must however be feeling a bit vacant, as I forgot to buy any on my way home :(

Well, in the end it was just ToriRat and myself. But that was okay. Nice to see Tori again, and it was a bloody good film.

There was a woman waiting in the foyer whom I approached and said "Stafford Forum?" but it was clear she had no idea what I was talking about. Fortunately I didn't flash my badge of "the rude giant", as I dread to think what might have happened.

With regard to the turnout:

Social gathering + cinema visit = a bit of an odd combination, I suppose.

Seeing a film doesn't exactly lend itself to conversation, etc.

But if anyone thinks there's any point in having another Stafford Forum Cinema Night, could that person please speak up and propose the next one, rather than me doing it again. That way at least the person who suggests it ought to turn up, and I definitely will too (provided it's a night when I'm available - Sundays and Tuesdays are usually no good).

(I'm thinking The Fighter might be worth watching...?)

I'd be up for seeing the Fighter, Mon-Wed are good for me. Apparently my hideous flesh shall be healed within a week or so :)

I ended up watching Mr Nice last night, which was a bit of a let down. Maybe it was because I spent the whole time itching but the story just seemed to jump around a lot compared to the book. Anyone else watched it?

I'm now plague free and wanna seea fillum! Anyone else up for it? Anything good on? I gotta admit I really want to see Paul but thats about 5 weeks away yet.

I'll go and see damn near anything unless it looks like utter shite. Am I right in thinking True Grit is out at the end of this week? Looks to me like essential viewing...

Anyone else up for that? Sounds good to me, as before though I can only really do Mon - Wed. Do you get orange wednesday promotions in Stafford?

I think so, but I'm with Vodafone.
My "I think so" comment relates to the Orange promotional thingy, by the way. Regarding whether I'm up for it, I definitely am. And if Wednesdays are good, I'm available next week (the 16th).

Just checked the Apollo's website, and they're currently listing what's on up to and including the 14th, but not beyond (unless you want to advance book for Yogi Bear, although I think that's probably one to avoid).

Presumably the Apollo will be showing True Grit, as I expect it's going to be pretty huge. For now, let's just keep an eye on the website...

Doesn’t look like they’re showing it, does it? If we were to go on the night of the 16th, it looks like we’d have a choice of Black Swan, The King’s Speech or Sanctum.

As it happens I wouldn’t be able to go on that date anyway because Florence has swapped a couple of shifts. I’ll have to stay at home with the kids as Flozza is working.

Maybe True Grit will come to Stafford at a later date? It’s a shame we have only one three-screen cinema here. I wonder how they decide which films to show? I don’t think they’ve had The Fighter on yet, which I find very strange when you consider that most of the bus shelters in Stafford were displaying the film’s poster for the last week or two...

They have the trailer up on the Apollo website 'coming soon' bit, but it's not clear whether it will be coming soon to Stafford.

It will, though, surely?

It's not on the 'Stafford-specific' page - and it won't let you book it in Stafford.....
