Stafford shops closing - Turning into a ghost town?

Correcting grammatical errors is not an opinion, nor is it personal. He made an error in his use of words, which I corrected. That is all there is to it.
Yeah because you'd do that to a stranger in person wouldn't you. Oh no, you wouldn't, because you'd probably get punched. You only do it on here because to can troll in anonymity.

Which was rude, churlish and unnecessary.

What I am about to say next might be considered rude but I'm going to say it anyway since you have no qualms about being rude to others ..........

In my opinion, the 24 hours when you were banned from posting, the forum became a nicer place again.

I will always correct grammatical mistakes, and do so regularly, in person and online. Such mistakes are unacceptable in any context.

If you are unhappy on this forum there is no need for you to stay. It is your choice to be here.

Also available for party's!

Seriously, if I knew you in real life you'd be the person I avoid like the plague. If you talk to people in real life like you do on here then they probably feel the same. What a role model, poor faith :(

The problem with you, and many others on this forum is that you are so set in your ways, you have your own cosy little worlds and small ideas, you are not interested in anything outside that, and cannot cope with any ideas which are different from your own.
You know that Stafford is in a mess but you choose not to admit it, because that would upset your balanced ideas. It is easier for you to just go along with things as they are, because that removes all responsibility from you.
You feel threatened when someone like me comes along that challenges your ideas and perceptions. You are frightened of change. You have no defence for the status quo so the only response you can offer is personal insults.
It is only through people like me working hard to change hearts and minds that Stafford will ever improve. But the entrenched and blinkered views of most people in this board make that very difficult.

You very safe saying that behind the anonymity of your keyboard, troll-on.
I hope and assume you realise the irony of your post. I am assuming that the name 'proactive' does not appear on your birth certificate. It is certainly an interesting choice of pseudonym for someone who is totally reactive and not at all proactive.

The anonymity on this board is not my choice, it is enforced by the board. In my view everyone who posts should do so using their full name.

I'm not on anyone's side in here, but I do agree with alot of what @HopesDad says, if not always how he says it! My sister and her boyfriend, one from Stafford, one from Ilkley, now live in London and they say much the same about Stafford as HopesDad. Small minded council, who are more concerned with making a fast buck than what is best for the people of Stafford, crap transport in the borough, either by private or public methods, a lack of social groups. Infact pretty much all the good things of the town are inspite of the council and those in power in our town not because of!!! I do wonder if some of Staffords most staunch defenders on this board have actually ever lived in a really good town, a well run town where those with vested interests are not able to gain positions of power and influence council decisions, amongst other things!!

As far as I am aware, you don't know me in real life so what gives you the right to say the above?
You have no idea whether I am threatened by challenges, or whether I'm small minded or whether I am frightened of change.

You simply have no idea at all.

People can use their real name if they choose. Anonymity is not forced by the forum.

Given that you have your views, HopesDad, that you hold so closely, may I suggest that you stand as a Councillor, so that you can challenge the status quo in a forum that is likely to be able to influence the decision makers and get things done? We're all entitled to our views and opinions, that's what a good forum is all about, but the chance for us, on Stafford Forum to change the town centre is a little limited.

Perhaps if you stood for Council and got elected, you could get some of your proposed changes through, so that Stafford would become even better than it already is. Yes, I do think Stafford is quite a good place to live, I'm not from here originally, and believe me, if you'd lived in some of the places I have, then you'd understand why I say that!
