Knossos Place? I have no idea about the correct spelling, sorry.
That was the kids play area inside it. It was Stafford Sports Arena.
Crikey!

Did it have a bull-leaping zone?

Fewer than branches of maccies 😉
There's no need for sensationalism...
Fuse Active
Gym and Tonic
New Beacon
Stafford Leisure Centre
Elements Fitness
Pure Gym
What's going into poundstretcher

And that's not even counting the smaller niche places....

The leisure center does, what irks me, as a non swimmer, is there's no option without that and £40 a month is a bit much when all I want to do is go to some classes and maybe use some machines.
Especially as the pool, from what I’ve heard, is pretty poor in terms of when free swim is even available

I'd say try Cannock leisure centre for swimming but that has to be booked in advance. What a joke.
Yes but you can book it in advance even if you're not a member there. At Stafford if you're not a member then you find a lot of the open swimming sessions are already booked up by members....

I grew up using the olympic Cov baths, turn up when you want to swim, on the occasion that there was an 'event' on, you had 2 other pools to chose from..... I still can't believe its so difficult to swim in stafford, I just want to swim up & down like a boring old lady, the minime wants to have fun swimming with her friends..... It seems neither of us can do that, due to opening times, swim rules or our work schedules.

It's been a while since I've trawled this thread.
Can anybody shed any light on the once proposed 3 storey micro pub that was going to open in Market Street?

Market Street and the one on the junction were applications by the same people. They seem to have given up on the Market Street one after getting planning permission and decided to move the operation, vaguely started work on the premises opposite the Grapes but progress very slow
