That was it - the links in the first post are about the Market Street site, which was abandoned fairly quickly in favour of the current potential venue.I knew about tat one on the junction, There was talk of another one, over 3 storeys, in the market street area but I heard no more about it.
I
The micro pub has now been built by local artist Willard Wigan MBE. Have you not seen it?
I used to go there . Upstairs gym , and ground floor had indoor pitches and spin classes , step/aerobic classes (and a small cafe )There used to be a gym on queens originally, it had a couple of indoor football pitches. next to Matalan I think.
Yes, and they didnt like you using the toilets I you weren't doing a class etc......I'm sure there was some kind of kiddy play area in there to, or maybe a crecheI used to go there . Upstairs gym , and ground floor had indoor pitches and spin classes , step/aerobic classes (and a small cafe )

Yes there was a kids play area as well. I didn't use the cafe after following a cafe worker out of loos, she didn't wash her hands after her using the loo (not just for a wee) and straight back behind the counter serving a customer (I'd assumed she was going to at least use the kitchen sink , but no.... )Yes, and they didnt like you using the toilets I you weren't doing a class etc......I'm sure there was some kind of kiddy play area in there to, or maybe a creche
I think many establishments now have separate staff toilets so that customers can't see employees not washing their hands.Yes there was a kids play area as well. Walked past this yesterday on the way to the cinema, looks like whatever it is is taking over two units? It looked like pretty major work. Tried to spy some details but couldn't see anything useful.there are pallets and materials in the unit next to Nando’s
Does any one know what's happening at....
1) the site next to the old job centre
2)the former Bristol Street motors car park land on Stone Rd opposite little tesco.
I was under the impression Aldi or Lidlington had bought the land & were planning to open another store before covid struck
Not much hope for this world is there. A major climate emergency sees an increase in car and new building services. I know we do already have an enterprise. Is this an addition or replacement? The site next to the old job centre is going to be Enterprise car rentals, and a Formula One autocentre.
As far as i know the Stone Road site is going to be a builders merchants
It's a replacement. Apparently customers felt Astonfields was too far out of town...I know we do already have an enterprise. Is this an addition or replacement?
So what's the point of all this building when they have a building already. I don't understand why companies do this, it never helps them just leaves another empty property. Maybe it a tax dodge or somethingGiven that Halfords purchased National Tyre recently, I'm expecting at least one of the 3 places they have currently will close at some point...
You know what, I bet it's feck all to do with dodging tax and likely everything about wanting to have your own property laid out exactly how they want it in order to operate their business..... Just a hunch.....So what's the point of all this building when they have a building already. I don't understand why companies do this, it never helps them just leaves another empty property. Ah so that's what it is? They should just build what they need the first time round. You know what, I bet it's feck all to do with dodging tax and likely everything about wanting to have your own property laid out exactly how they want it in order to operate their business..... Just a hunch.....
