Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

Walked past the old wilko today, couldn't believe how quick poundland turned it around.

There's some clear bodges - mainly signs but actually looks pretty decent and has tonnes of stock.

I saw something that said full refurbs of the quick turn around stores would happen in the new year. I'm really pleased it's managed to re open so quickly.

Lush Salon Supplies is opening a branch on Foregate Street in Stafford, the old bed shop , near Screwfix.

Says on Facebook they are looking to open in 3/4 weeks. Trade only.

Even I recognise some of the staff from Wilko's, so not all is lost.

Actually visited the vintage emporium today.
It's like 'dagfields' on the Nantwich road, lots of individual sellers under one roof/ paydesk.
The usual vintage (old), retro (made to look old), crafts knick knacks and junk.
Parking is a nightmare though.
Did pick up 'Deep Purple live at the royal Albert hall' on vinyl.

If it is someone has been conned, even not in disrepair they go for less than £1k unless you’re buying one from This Planet Earth who have the license for it

To be honest the place felt like a charity shop without the charity shop pricing or knowledge that your money was going to a good cause - lots of old stuff that stank of smoke mostly.
