Not even to live?
I have (that don't add miles to my journey) approx. 4 ways of getting out of Stafford to head to Wolverhampton and at the moment they're all blocked.
Well, not blocked but it feels like it when I'm stuck in a line of traffic.
I have been visiting Stafford for many years and I have never known it as bad as it is now. I once considered moving house to live there and I'm so glad I decided against it.
I don't live in Stafford
@Katniss and @Helen Goff both not living in Stafford but on a StaffordForum site.
You lot creating the traffic?
I joined this site to find out what was happening in Stafford because the traffic situation was becoming ridiculous. I have visited Stafford for over 15 years and I have never known it as bad as this.
It's slowly becoming an identi-kit commuter town.
More roadworks on the double islands at the Radford Bank/Baswich Lane/Lichfield Road/ Cannock Road will start on 16th April until 25th April.
I don't live in Stafford either.....
I do live in Staffordshire.
Just so I know, and am aware of the rules.
1) Can I post on this forum?
2) Can I go into Stafford if I want to? .....
I was quite surprised this afternoon. I managed to get from the Stockton Lane end of Baswich to Stafford Station and back within half an hour, 16:45 - 17:15. I went via Tixall Road and past Gaol Square. I was expecting longer especially on the return journey. In the end, both were about the same.
I have a couple of alternative routes I could take into Stafford but I would rather just go straight up the A34 ... nevermind ..
What is you favourite song?
Because of the effing traffic!
Make the most of it road works back on the 16th
Just to make people aware that the Police are using an unmarked 64plate BMW X model (couldn't work out which one) on the M6 catching speeders. Noticed it on the slip lane of J13 (exit) this evening...
won't catch anyone in town then?
I think it might be Lithium
Baswich Lane bridge roadworks gone for now. I'm sure they'll think of something else to dig up down there.
