Stafford Traffic.

I just looked on the website and it is showing roadworks at Queensway but I know they can spring up anywhere.

What happened at the big roundabout coming out of Stafford on the A34 North tonight at about 6.30?? Some foreign lorry had taken the bumpers off several cars and was reversing around the roundabout and pedestrians were running in the road. Cars were queueing around the roundabout unable to exit. It was chaos!!

Sailed straight from Tixall Road to my friends house on the Wolverhampton Road with no traffic issues whatsoever this morning :lorks:

Well, apart from the moron who cut across to the middle lane from the left lane on Queensway outside Asda heading towards the Wolverhampton Road, but that's pretty standard... at least I know my brakes and horn both work....

I have just got back from Stafford and quite a few drivers cut across me because they were in the wrong lane. I didn't sound my horn because I honestly think they didn't know the road layout in Stafford. Having travelled into Stafford every week for years I know which lanes to take but if you are a new person to the area it can be confusing and the roadworks are not helping at all.

As for my journey to and from Stafford there were hardly any queues anywhere but sadly the town seemed deserted for a Friday morning in comparison to other times I have visited.

I'd like to agree but having been a driver for a number of years now, I know drivers to be just plain forgetful and/or not actually remember how to use a road and car correctly!
Wouldn't it be great if all these drivers were indeed new to the area and not up on the road layout but I very much doubt it.
Anyway, the great thing about roads, road signs and road layouts, they tend to be pretty standard/uniformed all over the country, or we'd have to take a test for each borough we use!

I've experienced the same D1ckheads @photography_bloke mentions, what is that about, do the lines in the road not help some poor little sods??!

I find I can normally anticipate who is going to do this nowadays, not sure how...

I find you can generally tell what someone is like as a person and a driver, by watching their driving habits for a mere 20 seconds.

Flaming Severn Trent Water have gone off for the weekend leaving my drive half blocked by a temporary light. There is actually no reason why they couldn't have moved it two feet to the right and off my bloody drive.
