Thing is, though, Gilbert, that you seem to be trapped in this world that equates very little with quite a lot.

The language is already there with the expected goon squad of-
"captive audience"
as if this is something macabre that means it's
... impossible to seek out better
... rather than being an aspiration to make it 'possible'.

The idea is to make it 'possible' to remain within bubbles, not to make it 'compulsory' to do so.

You go from 'can do' to 'has to' as if it's inevitable, without any understanding of the concept whatsoever.

Just to be clear, i'm absolutely certain that this concept won't happen, even in a limited way, regardless of how helpful it would be. In no small part because we live in a world occupied by people like you.

Manipulated by bad faith actors to act against everybody's best interest - in the usversusthem paradigm you parrot them, whilst believing you are us.

Not in the 1950s they didn't. Imagine "Open All Hours" only worse. Short measure, poor quality, surly service, ... That's why people flocked to supermarkets when they appeared
Neither "super" nor a "market" they're not establishments I would choose to use.

Admin. Maybe have a word eh!
Might be worth splitting this thread away to something more fitting so local people can post on our traffic and uncle Knobhead can abuse me elsewhere!

Are they not bothering to repair the Gaol Square roundabout traffic lights? It is a shame Stafford is overrun with roadworks at the moment. You can't escape them even in the town centre, where the pathworks dominate with the new town square paving assault course & Millets bollarded off even though it has yet to fall down.

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
There have been two sets out constantly since they first failed.

They're still out. Workman erected bollards & one set of temporary lights last week, then scarpered.
Saw a works van on the roundabout yesterday so perhaps work in progress.

Feels like there’s traffic chaos in town at the moment;

Goal Road roundabout lights out
Temp lights on Newport Road out of town causing queues past Tesco.
Temp lights on Stone Road
Temp lights on Lichfield Road

Almost every road into or out of town affected.

M6 south from 12 to 13 will close for vehicle recovery at 4pm

@CMPG

Please be mindful of long delays on the M6 south between junctions 13 at Stafford and 12 at Cannock owing to a collision. Luckily there are no injuries. Alternative route via A449 through Penkridge or A34 through Cannock. 5433
