When I went past yesterday, it looked like it was only closed northbound, there was south bound traffic entering the roundabout still.

There are some night-time closures of the A34 in Stone around this time, I believe.

Hmm dunno, I'm going to the vets in about an hour, so I'll let you know when (if) I get back.

http://roadworks.org - type Stafford & it will tell you which loons are digging up & closing which road.

Stone Rd was closed northbound (if coming from town) but southbound was still open (yes, you can go to Tesco) - but they removed it all yesterday....even though the website says its closed until 20/4/16!

Although I've just noticed that the number 8 bus isn't using the Stone Rd route, its going up the Eccleshall rd instead.....

...also, some random blokes have just been plonking temporary lights & cones on the Newport Rd, just by Coture.....

Somebody has moved the pointless Gaol Road lights into the parking space outside Stafford Tyres.


Road is as fully open as it could have been for the last fortnight.

Maybe their going to fix that kerplunk manhole cover, it's sending me crazeee....

I always check on that but it is sometimes misleading and can tell you there are roadworks when infact there aren't any. This thread is much more accurate because people who are using the roads can tell us exactly what is going on in and around Stafford.

Things are certainly flowing better now Tixall Road is open again. But they've shut the left turn lane on Black Heath Lane/Weston Road roundabout, new electrical connection?

Lights on lichfield rd near aldi again at moment causing massive queues back to town and up the bank. Roadwork cones being set upbetween kent way + Windsor rd
