This whole "everyone can cycle instead" thing always ignores the fact that some people drive cars because they are disabled. Or they need to transport dogs, people, tools etc...
So who is saying "everyone can cycle instead" ?

Don't all Audis fall into the 'transport tools' category?

Not traffic as such, but the 74 bus is absolutely ridiculous! often on the 4.20 and the 4.40 from Stafford town is over full with more than 20 people standing, sometimes too only a minibus, surely this is safety risk, does someone need to fall/get hurt for a change, they either need more buses or lose the mini bus

With more than 20 people standing the density of passengers means that in a collision they aren't likely to be projected the length of the bus and so it's the opposite of a safety risk.
I didn't know Cannock was so popular nowadays.

At last ! The 1948 Show
Well, when I were a lad I'd walk all the way to and from school in all weathers, including the winter of 1962 to '63, and it didn't do me any harm. And we were lucky, not like our fathers when young who'd get up every morning at 6 o'clock, go work down t'mill for fourteen hours a day, week in week out, for sixpence a week ......
But the youth of today, they've got no respect for old folk who deserve some comfort when using their bus passes that they've paid taxes for all their working lives.
I just don't know what the world's coming to.

Common sense prevails.
You've had me walking to Penkridge, getting in the Boat, Cross Keys and Star, taking the train back, having a pint of Bass in the Railway, getting a kebab on my way home and that's given me time to think and made me realise that we shouldn't keep listening to those who are always saying that the youth of today are up to no good and that they're probably no worse people than we all were fifty years ago.

By closing the road to everyone except cyclists and walkers they're doing that?

"Vehicular access on to Chell Road will be prohibited during the road closure period but signed diversion routes will be in place.."

Vehicular access is not prohibited on Chell Road heading west. Also a contingent part of the WAR was that Chell Road would become primarily for Buses/taxis/bikes and pedestrians. It simply isn't needed for through traffic any more.
