I haven't been there much lately, but the tradition has been for the signs to turn up as the lake was fading away, be left there for ages and be ignored, which was awkward if the lake refilled before they were removed. Why is Sandon Road closed? Is there a flood predicted by the petrol station and currently arid - in which case, why not wait till the dihydrogen monoxide arrives?
Pictures on face pants show it flooded today, along with crooked bridge rd & said spare wheel...Why is Sandon Road closed? Is there a flood predicted by the petrol station and currently arid - in which case, why not wait till the dihydrogen monoxide arrives?
And why does it say it is closed till the 29th Feb on the one network map?
Yes, very definitely flooded this afternoon on my way to the Princess Royal. Than the Kings Arms.Pictures on face pants show it flooded today, along with crooked bridge rd & said spare wheel...
We drove down the Sandon rd on Saturday, just a small puddle by the garage.Anyone know if Lake Sandon has subsided now?
Plus there’s now 3 way traffic lights outside the college, if anybody goes that way to avoid the traffic by Tesco…..Three-way trafic lights now in place outside Tesco on Newport Road, all week until Friday February 16th. They've taken out a lane to park their vehicles, so traffic is backed up in both directions on Newport Road. "Refurbishment to Traffic Signals, to remove old and outdated technology and upgrade to newer, more modern and efficient traffic signal equipment."
Nothing about sorting out the flooding, though.
But just for fun there’s a ‘road closed’ sign at the start of Clanford road, the back way from Great Bridgeford into Stafford… except the road isn’t closed until after the actual turn into Seighford…..Stone

A34 South is now open again
You should be able to get to it from the A34. Do you have an employees pass to wag you through the barriers? Or I'm sure you can just park on the road and walk in.I should really have been paying attention to this, I have a visit to Pets at Home Distribution Centre on Wednesday next week, can I get to it from Stafford, and can I get back home from it. Or and I mean this genuinely, should I park near the spitfire pub and walk to it?
Where abouts?Road works in Penkridge
