What would the rent be there? I'd love see that place in use again.

It has plans recently passed for internal alterations, which looked very good for a new restaurant.
But another set of plans to extend the outside table were very recently refused. Not sure this will stop moving forward.

You raise a great point. On recent visits or walking past at a weekend or weekday the place seems to be doing well.

We don't actually know why the place is up for let, the building has new owners through an auction a few months back, has rent gone up, does businesses owner want to sell up, move location or try a new venture.

I have a lot of time for this place and have always enjoyed our visits and what happened with drop in for fall for that area was inexcusable.

I'm personally not so sure how the place will do as a restaurant and wine bar, but good luck to him.

Hi All,

A sad announcement that the Bean will be closing on the 27th of May. The closing of the Kingsmead car park had a huge negative effect on the North Walls Business community. I was lucky to have such dedicated customers that seen us through this far, but I simply have to change the business in response to the current trading environment.

On our last day, May 27th, I am holding a PARTY starting at 8:00 pm. I will make a nice buffet to say thank you! Please come, meet friends and show your support.

The biggest issue is obviously parking, so I am opening when there is plenty of on street parking. There are parking permits available for on street parking. In doubt, just send me a message.

Friday and Saturday Nights
A romantic setting with Italian influenced cuisine starting at 6:30pm. As space is limited, please call ahead.

One side of the restaurant will be a Wine and Gin bar featuring the best wines and gins I have found over the years and in a relaxed setting. Feel free to come in for a drink and have a good conversation with your friends.

Saturday and Sunday Day
An indulgent brunch menu influenced by French cuisine with my normal Californian twists. The kitchen will open between 11:00 and 3:00 pm.

I will post a draft menu up shortly, I would love everyone's feedback.

It's such a shame that Stafford couldn't keep this great cafe with genuinely innovative and fresh healthy food open as a morning and day time venue. I understand why they are moving more towards the evening market, I understand too that lunch times in Stafford are very slow at times. I do however think this town genuinely needs more quality independently owned places to go for an evening meal. I wish them all the best in their new format.

Is that a thing?

Could we offer a forum proofreading service to rid the town of dish-like voks, one menu at a time?

Also, when will chefs stop using Parmesan in things which are described as vegetarian?
