Human nature these days, there's a Rant thread and not a Happy thread.
(If there is one already I apologise. Couldn't find it - I'm thick on Monday mornings.)

someone did make a "happy" thread but, like you say, the inherent pessimism of hooman beans means it has long since disappeared into the ether, with nary a post to its name! let's hope this one doesn't go the same way..

my happy thought: monday is already halfway over! :dance:


edit: found the other thread.. might as well keep this new one going though, innit :)

One where the roof doesn't leak and you don't have to fill the kettle up in the toilets. :D

Landed meself a top new job on Friday which I start at the beginning of September! Great money, and it's in the 'Ford so suits a lazy bugger like me!

I just had a quick scroll through the old thread, and came across THIS from biggin! Nothing to do with being happy as it was in relation to a previous post from Augustus, but reading that again has made me laugh quite a lot!

Just came back from Cyprus.. partied too hard and am ill now :( BUT... do not care coz had a fab time, have a nice tan and loadsa pix to remember :D ... let the good times roll...

only working mon/tues.. easy schedule wind down, then Cropredy!, real ales , music, frollicks and more beer . Weather even looks promising . I'm suddenly fricken elated woohoo .

Hmm I should be singing zippedy doo dah or somethin !( with apologies to anyone not having the joyest of weeks ..well a bit)

I moved in to my new office today - well, I say office. I mean cubicle type pod really. Anyhoo - in between training sessions and unpacking and such, I got a free latte and choccie muffin.

Don't take much to make me smile :)

ive spent the last 3 days drunk, i sat in a field in the rain at shefstock on saturday night before having a house party at mine....i am throughly destroyed- but it was so much fun.

and despite the fact im dying on my arse today (which is still a bit sore from getting stung by nettles when having a wee) ive just had lamb casserole in a giant yorkshire pud and i feel like im slowly coming back to life.

feel the power of stew! :D

I'm on holiday from Saturday with my two, camping in Cornwall at a Haven site. The thought makes me very happy indeed!

oh, you cow! i'd love that..

you know that thing you do, when you really want something, then slowly you get it in your head that you can afford it, and you come up with some elaborate reason why you need it to justify it to yourself, then you spend ages reading reviews and choosing the best one, only to realise that don't really need it and, frankly, can't afford it? yeah, i do that all the time :(
