Me too! I got my brand spanking new mega PC delivered on Tuesday, and yesterday I asked whether I could get a different keyboard and mouse cos the ones Dell send you are crapola. Within seconds I had the company credit card slapped on my desk, with the instruction that if I want to spend over £250 I have to ask first!
when it comes to jobs, you must the jammiest mother hubbard in the world.. can you buy me a sneaky gig of RAM? thanks

I've just purchased a never-before-seen recently released print of Marilyn Monroe by Eve Arnold. One of just 495 worldwide.

Now I'm Really Happy, Tensh has just bought me this http://www.chrisbeetles.com/pictures/artists/Oneill_Terry/C24414.htm

I've been looking for this print for nearly four years after seeing it in a Terry O'neill book, then forgetting who the photographer was and the actress in the pic, now it's hanging on my wall and it's huge.

It's Faye Dunaway the morning after winning an Oscar for best actress, though its not her Oscar in the pic but Peter Finch's who won a posthumous Oscar for the 1976 film Network, which they both starred in. O'Neill arrived to photograph Dunaway and found the scene already set, her lazing by the pool, surrounded by the mornings papers and the Oscar on the coffee table.

brill start to the day.

got out of bed, mostly on time.

bed didnt break thus necessitating the leaving of the pit (as it has done every morning this week)

stuck the radio on and moyles was playing bits of nina simone and muse 'feelin good'

moyles then played the entireity of the muse cover- cue mad wailing, radio blasting and general goosebumpy happiness from the monsters bedroom. (i hope my neighbours were already up- if not, they were after that!)

got my tram on time.

got to work on time- only to find my colleague had done my morning jobs so ive got an extra 20 mins to play online before doing something sensible.

im going out on a works do at 4.30 and have no intention of spending anything other than my taxi fare home- youve got to love people who earn more than you saying 'really cookie, it IS my round again!'

and, the metro and five news said it was gonna be a lovely sunny day today. (ps. bobby, sheff beat the ford- 22 and bright sunshine! :) )

im a happy :monkeydance:

erm, excuse me - the official adjudication in this nightly competition is the Five 21:58 news update, and it wasn't on last night, so the contest was null and void :teef:

glad you're having a good day though.. my boss is off today, and me & dean (workmate) are going to the golden arches in our lunch break to rinse out some bogof big macs :D

safety!

i just flicked onto BBC 1.. imagine my surprise when i found myself watching Midlands Today, instead of the usual Look North! i don't move back to Stafford for another 3 weeks, yet somehow Sky seems to have pre-empted this and has started showing me Midlands programming!

:stafford:

edit: oh, i totally forgot the main event! i'm blatantly posting in the happy thread because i have handed my notice in at work, and i no longer have to keep hush hush about the fact i'm moving back to stafford!! brrrrrap! :slayer:
