what in the name of riker's beard are "pickled vegetables"?? i mean, i know what vegetables are, and i am aware of the pickling process, but i've never seen "pickled vegetables" specified as a side on a burger menu.. surely this isn't just a way of dressing up "oh, you get a gherkin on it"? lol

the burgers sound amazing though.. love the names - "the morrissey"

Right, well, this is an 'Old Norm', or Chainsburger, as I shall be calling it. (£8.95)

and this is what was left at the end.

Not for the faint-hearted looking for a quick snack - it requires pacing and a systematic approach.

The (potentially controversial) "pickled vegetables" were largely carrots and onion.

The downstairs staff was run off his feet at times and mine took about ten minutes to arrive - neither of which are of the slightest concern to me, and are probably a good sign, really.

DB lots of countries used pickled veg. Liverpudlians have pickled red cabbage with Scouse. Lots of Lebanese Middle Eastern countries have pickled veg. Oddly the Vindaloo may have actually used pickled pork when the Portugese sailors landed in India.

How are the brioche buns going down with people? I generally find them a bit too rich for burgers...
