I fondly remember going to see Newman and Baddiel at the Wolves Civic, when they were still doing all their Mary Whitehouse stuff.

If my memory serves me correctly we managed to get the day off school to do a tour of the Civic before the gig on the premise that we were doing a project on the place for D.O.V.E. or something. Not sure if this project ever materialised, but hell yeah, it was a great day/night!

Great days! D.O.V.E. What a load of balls that was, educationally speaking. As a dos, it was great.

Check out his podcasts with Andrew Collings. It can be very hit and miss, and you sort of need to have been listening from day 1 to understand half of what they are going on about. Like how he wants to screw a hole made in a tortoises shell, and how he wants to have a baby made of faeces. And if Jesus is everywhere, is he inside my bum? It's all incredibly peurile and offensive, in a good way.

was that the same day?? god, sometimes your memory can be so shit, and other times you have perfect recall like this lol..

my only memories of that day are rob newman riding down the centre aisle to the stage on a motorised skateboard, and then meeting him later & him complimenting me on my Ministry t-shirt
